so i always notice that when you see big commercial grows they seem to be using mh lights hung real far up, like say for instance in the videos greenhouse does on youtube, i just dont get why they use halides, i mean they emit like 30% less light roughly, the only thing i can think of for why they use them is that maybe halides dont loose light as quick as hps as the distance from the bulb gets bigger....but thats just a homegrown theory, anybody have any ideas?

i think they raise them for the picture.so you get a good view.nothing wrong with mh for veg,to each their own.

no like in the greenhouse videos or that huge cave grow in tennesee the lights are built in to the roof of the room, plus in all these big grows i keep seeing full on budding plants under halides....not that im hating on halides just wondering if there is some advantage im missing out on

or if you guys notice when you take pictures under a hps the colors are skewed because of all the red and yellow light hps's are throwing out so I think they switch out the bulbs temporarily while shooting to get better picture but they

the LIFTED THE LIGHTS in the tennessee cave videos... and, if youre camera settings ar right...hps will ook white or blue (
