What are my options? HELP!

HI all. My plants are about 2 inches tall and only 1 week since sprouted from soil. They are looking healthy. It is my frist grow and i am using 12 CFLs 26 watts right now with 8 plants. Posted some pics in my other threads.

However this sunday which will make it day 10~11 since sprouted i need to have the lights off for 12 hrs for 2 days. I am having family over and to be safe i need the lights off at 1pm~1am...

So since my plants are very young and i probably do not want to flower them. Can i put my plants on 12/12 for two days and switch it back to 24/0 or 18/6 after the two days? What negative things should i expect? Also can i or is it better to just sex the plants and take the males out and revegtable the females only? Is this possible?

At the plants growth rate end of this week when i need the lights off, i think the plants will have 4 full leaves and 2 more leaves growing since right now most plants have full 4 real leafs with the 2 seedlings leafs and few show signs of the 2 more leaves and first node. And probably around 3~4 inches tall.

What are my options and what should/can i do?
Any bad thing to worry bout by doing this?

Worse case comes, how much would i yeild per plant if i flower at this stage with 4 CFL 26 watters PER plant?
I will be using foxfarm trio pack liquid and powder.

I really dont think that it will affect them. It doesnt seem like that would do anything. Maybe when you do go to flower later on it will show sex sooner. I say do it. At the most you will stress it a hair but nothing major. I would say use SUperthrive but Im not sure if the plants are old enough. You might want to look it up.

Thanks for the reply but whats superthrive intended use for? Just nute? Cuz im using foxfarm growbig and bigbloom already since yesterday at 1/4 strength and they are loving it.

you cant get it at wally world n e more, they recalled it. so they dont sell it there, i found mine on ebay for cheap..

do you need the lights out completely?
when i need my cabinet less noticeable i turn on half the cfl's and ditch the fan. it's like a cloudy day. it may have slow growth those two days but i think the stress of changing light periods would be as bad or worse. neither of which would be a big deal anyways.

Anyone klnow how bad the stress will be?

I don't know that anyone can answer the question you're actually asking, which is, "Can I get away with it?". I would figure out a way to have at least 1/4 of the lights going to try to simulate a cloudy day. You go fucking around with the light cycle and you always run the risk of hermies. And nobody wants those.

Ah ok. So say right now im on my 20/4 cycle. So does it mean if i change it to 18/6 or back to 24/7 it will risk getting a hermie as well? Or does this only affect in changing it into flowering cycle hours or les?

Ok i think im gonna just flowering all 8 of them until it shows sex this sunday while im at it. And if i get less than 5 females ill veg the females again or take clones and veg so i can flower at least 5. IF i do get more than 5 females ill just flower them early. So its going to be pretty much seed to harvest 12/12 i guess. Or still gotta find a better idea.
Aiming for around 20grams~1oz per plant.

Today the plants are showing 3rd set of leaves and first true node! Excited.

Thanks man just c hecked up on my plants and seems like every hour they grow!! LOL Im gonna give them 24/7 till this sunday and let them BLOOM!!

Now i need to get myself some open seseme and chaching! lol

How long did you plan to veg for? I understand you not wanting to 12-12 basically from seed, nobody wants to do that. Point is, my last grow I planned to flower for 9 weeks, I harvested @ 13 and that was still early. Don't sweat missing 3 weeks on the front end, you're going to have plenty of time on the back.
