What are some good Ballasts to use.....im trying to avoid over spending

hey i was wondering what are some good affordable ballast to get that would not over heat and work just fine i only have 2 plants im growing indoors so which would be best to get such as namebrand and wattage?....im just trying to avoid over spending thanks RIU

I use Lumitek.

I mean, I have a Lumitek.. but I don't have a bulb right now for it.

Plus, I've got two other lights. I got two 150watt HPS lamps.. from HTG. I've been using these for two years straight dude.. and I've had absolutely no problems with either one. I'm sold on these little babies.. plus, they put out plenty of light/lumens for what I need. I never grow more than 2 (3 max) plants per grow anyhow.. since I only grow for my own personal enjoyment. I don't sell.. nor am I a caretaker. I just grow for my own personal needs.

get yourself one of the 150watt HPS lamps dude.. they're really cheap but they're extremely reliable. I think I paid like 60-80 bucks per light. Comes with enclosed ballast AND the 150watt HPS bulb. Can't hardly beat that man. Thats how my setup was.. when I first started. I had just the one 150watt HPS.. but I also had 4 150watt CFL bulbs (2 per plant) for side lighting. Setup works just fine for what I need.. I'll probably upgrade and get two 250's this coming summer.. but until then, I use what I just posted and it works great for what I need.

thanks man imma just get one of those lumitek ballast then so i wont have to buy any more in the future and yea HTG is a good site.....thanks

NEXTGEN. I am running a 600W with pumps and fans, and it's only running me about $20 a month on my electric bill.
