If you like Haze, amnezia haze is the one to do mate. Takes like 2 centuries to flower though.

Have you ever checked out the lineage of many, or maybe even most, Cup winners? If so, you know that old pure Mexican strains of the past are found in them in some percentage or another.

Not only were some Mexican strains very good, some were actually really great, until Mexican commercial growers crossed their pure strains with indica strains in hopes of increasing their yields and therefore their profits. That brought on the era of Mexican dirt weed.

Few tokers today ever experienced the golden age of Mexican strains. They like to believe it never existed. If it didn't, then why were so many crosses that the non-believers love made from Mexican strains and why do so many Cup winners have some percentage of Mexican strains in them? Is it because breeders just didn't know any better, that they did not know what the puppy tokers of today know? Nope. It is because they knew how great some Mexican strains were, so they used them to create the strains the puppies of today get a bone over.

What are my favorite strains ever?

Dalat
Panama Red
Acapulco Gold (isn't Acapulco in Mexican territory?)
Colombian Gold
Highland Oaxaca Gold aka H.O.G. (Mexican)
Several Jamaican strains I never heard an actual strain name for .. just called Jamaican back in the Olden Days

Shit weed. Ironically, it's actually very very good.
Note - not shitty weed, a strain called shit. ( For all who didn't know. )

Amen BrickTop to be able to bring back the good ole days when you could get these strains in their pure forms. Panama Red and Colombian Gold are still available here in Costa Rica during the fall and winter which I am looking forward to now. The people who didn't have access to these strains back in the day don't realize how powerful these strains were.
I am enclosing a link called seedfinders, if people use this link they can see the full lineage of their super strains which as you pointed out most have their sativa side all rooted in Colombia or Mexico.
Keep passing out all that good info you share with all of us.

I have grown many strains but i have to say my 2 favorite are Sour D and Purple headknocker. THe Sour d has a smell so delecious it is almost sickening. The headknocker Is the most beautiful purple plant i have ever seen. I was very fortunate to receive a clone of it as it is almost impossible to obtain. I would like to give sour grapes a try but I don't live in Cali and i think that is the only place to get em.
