for vegging you want a high nitrogen fertilizer - one with an n-p-k ratio like 10-5-5 or any other fert with a high n number compared to p and k.
for flowering you want a high p fertilizer like a 2-10-5.
the exact formula doesn't matter as long as the n is high for vegging and the p is high for flowering.
some people swear by certain brands - the biggest difference is between chemical and organic ferts - but honestly i think you can use any type and do ok.
