What are the rules for building your own hydroponics system for commercial growing?

Hi Everyone! I'm from New Mexico where we finally legalized adult use! bongsmilie Woo! I'm currently researching opening my own microbusiness dispensary. Because I am in the desert, I have decided that the best option for the grow operation is a Dutch bucket system. There really isn't any rules or regulations set forth for NM just yet so I'm wondering if any other commercial growers from other legal states or dispensaries have any information on this. Are you allowed to build your own hydroponics system? I'm assuming that you would have to use food grade plastic, but is this allowed??? Preferably I'd like to build my own than paying thousands of dollars up front for it!
Thanks for your help and input!

1st question

Have you grown before?

And my advice is to wait till things are known and decided. Most dispensary growers need a license, usually $5000-$15000 bucks, think in AZ it's basically the same for grower or seller

Good luck

Thanks! I'm looking into getting a vertically integrated cannabis microbusiness license. I have grown my own at home, but I grow in soil. I've never done a big commercial sized production, I'm hoping to be able to find a professional grower that will be able to say "I want things set up this way and here's why"... and be able to teach me. But if I can't find someone, it's probably going to fall back on me. I'm just trying to get a jump on things as the state will start to process license applications as soon as September 1 if approved I'd need to start growing no later than December 1.

I'm following along out of self-interest, sue me :bigjoint:

P.s. I read that as Mexico and was thinking, damn his English is on point... Until I saw NM.... :eyesmoke:

Why not stick to soil? If you have experience with soil and know what to expect you might be better served by not jumping into this using a process that is new to you.
Either way, good luck friend!
