What are these brown dots?

I have 5 plants that are about 2 weeks old going and all look good except for this one with the brown dots forming on the leaves. No idea what it could be.

I am using 2 18" T8 fluoros since my 250w hps was putting off too much heat for my small grow area. I have the plants as close as possible to the light without them touching as they produce very little heat. Should I move them away a little bit? Like an inch maybe? Is it possible they are "burning" the leaves?

Also, I'm noticing some slight yellowing of my bottom leaves. Not that first set of round ones, I know they are suppose to turn yellow and die, I'm talking the bigger leaves. I'm not using any nutes, so I watered them today with Schultz 10-15-10 and 1/4 strenght.

ahh i see now ok lol could be a number of thing you might wanna check for spdier mites theyre tiny...or maybe cal mag defiiceny??? hopefully youll get an answer you can live with

Well the first pic you can clearly see the brown in the leaves. The other ones you might not be able to make it out but the leaves have a gradual yellowing to them. May I can only see it cuz I know it's there. I'll have to check for spider mites. Dunno what they really look like or where they could have came from. What do you do in the case of cal mag deficiency?

Anyone have any suggestions? I ordered a quart of Bonanicare Pure Blend Pro Grow formula (3-2-4) on friday and it just came today. If it is some kind of deficiency will that clear it up? I agree with what the other guy said about it being too soon for nutes though. If it isn't a deficiency or some kind of pest what else could it be? The temp is stable between 70-72 degree and relative humidity is around 50%. I'm really stumped. The affected plant looked like it was going to be one of my strongest plants. It's still growing pretty good and all, but I don't like all this damaged foliage, epecially at 2 weeks.

that looks like heat stress my plant got alot of it when i was doing my first grow wats your circulation you got going on your not using an nutes so that cant be the problem they look pretty thoughh also stuff like lumen foil will creat hot spots but if your not using that then you dont have to worry it may just be the air environment i grow straiht soil no nutes maybe some molasses but i think the soil has its own based Ph

THIS ONE IS SIMPLE alot of gardeners run into it IRON LOCK OUT LOWER THE PH OF YOUR WATER

Misting your plants with water or folir feeding will cause this cuz the water drops will focous the light to 1 spot that will cause it to burn

Candyflippin: I'm running t8 fluoro tubes, so I don't think it is heat stress. Room temp is around 70-72 degrees. I wanted to run my 250w hps but I did a dry run and the room got too hot. No foil. Air circulation is pretty good. I keep the closet door open when I'm home and have a little oscillating fan I run about 1/2 the time. I was using it earlier to strengthen stalks but I'll try running it again more often.

Toolage57: nope, no misting.

sappytreetree: The water in my area is pretty good but I run it through a water filter and let it sit open at room temp for 24-48 before watering to evaporate the chlorine. So you think my water is too alkaline? What can I do to lower the pH? I know I can RAISE the pH is lime or baking soda, but never hear of having to lower it. interesting. Of course, I don't have a pH meter so can't be sure.

Not sure if I mentioned this, but this is and indoor/outdoor grow. I plan on putting them out the bush in the next week or two. I just want them as big and as healthy as possible for when I do so.

Think there is any chance they are outgrowing the pots already? They are about 3-4 inches high and are in the 3" Jiffy pots for anyone familiar with them. I doubt they are, just throwing it out there.

not sure how accurate this is, but according to this if I lower my pH to unlock the iron, wouldn't that cause my P, Ca, and Mg to lock up? Not trying to contradict you but I'm still pretty new and just trying to wrap my head around all this.

Wait a min your feeding your plants 1/4 when they are 2 weeks old. If your going to feed then at that age only feed them 1/8 strength

It depends on what the PH Level is you might have to get to the sweet spot where just about all the nutes are absorbed and lower or up the PH level just a tad every time you feed so that they get the proper nutes

My advice is wait to see new growth to see if it persists. I don't have enough info about your grow to give you a clear answer. Soil? Ph of water? RH? Temps? ect...

Well here is an update. Just took these a few minutes ago. Temp ranges from 70-72. RH is usually around 50%. pH I don't know I don't have a meter. Should probably invest in one of those. Soil is miracle grow potting soil, although I sifted through it as best I could to find as many of those little pellets as possible. For my next grow I think I'm just gonna bite the bullet and pay the $20 shipping to have some better soil sent to me. The nearest hydro shop the sells the good stuff is like almost 2 hours away, so I'm pretty much limited to wal mart...

The second picture is a different plant. Looks like someone went and took a black marker to the side of that leave.

Third picture is the other three. They are looking pretty good, except the bottom leaves are yellowing a little sooner than I thought they would. I think they are sort of small for being almost 3 weeks old though. I'm hoping they take off when I move them outside. I bought a big bag of the miracle grow organic choice garden soil for the holes. Again, probably not the best. I don't think it has any added nutes in it. I also bought some extra perlite to mix in it.

1 - If thoes bottom leafs keep getting worse to the point that they are yellow and starting to go brown just cut the leaf off. The plant will spend more enegry to try to keep the leafs that are damaged badly alive

2 - If you can try investing into some B-1 Thrive. I use them on my house plants and they love it. Heck I have a house plant that hasn't growen in over 3 months with the other food and I gave it some B-1 it grow a bit litterly over night

I think I'm just going to take the two biggest ones (which ironically are the two with discoloration) out to the wood this weekend. I have a feeling they will make a comeback when I get them out of this completely inadequate closet and exposed to some real light. I have a a couple auto seeds, northern lights, and a couple other random seeds I want to try to get started and need to make some room anyway.

good luck. Imo Keep the pollen you get from any male plants and don't forget to lable them cuz you can make some seed batches so you don't have to reordering new seeds.

wow lots of silly answers here. i think sappytree hit the nail on the head man. check into that for sure.

you say you leave the water open for a day or two but do you check the ph after adding nutes and before watering?

i have very hard water here and i also leave it sit for a day to release the chlorine but after 24 hours its still around 7.0ph so i always add 5 drops of ph down to balance it out.

make sure your water is always like 6.5.
