I cancelled my cable awhile back and only watch free stuff. There sure is a lot of stuff available. I definitely don't miss paying $100 a month for a thousand channels of reality television. Housewives of this or that city, fake house flipping shows, Hip Hop in the Bathroom, etc... Who watches that stuff?

Anyway, between the digital antenna, the channels that come free with the Samsung TV Plus, and Youtube, I find that I'm actually watching more than I did when I had cable. I've been on a history thing lately and am currently working my way through the Fall of Civilizations channel. You used to be able to watch actual history shows on the History channel but that like everything else is nothing but reality nonsense that has nothing to do with history. Just watched this one last night.

I liked this. Based on the Korean War true story of aviator and Medal of Honor recipient Lt. Thomas Hudner. (Hudner's wingman, Jessee Brown was a recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross, and the first African-American naval officer killed in the Korean War.)
Minimal CGI in the film.

"There are some CGI effects in "Devotion," but they're used to flesh out backgrounds and create additional planes in a squadron. The planes near the front of the frame are almost always real."

About Kim Philby who was a British intelligence officer and a double agent for the Soviet Union. Well researched, well done. (Philby's 30 years of treachery resulted in the torture and deaths of many Western intelligence officers in the 40's and 50's. He escaped to Russia and although having a honorific high rank in the KGB, he was untrusted [once a traitor...], kept under constant surveillance and died a disillusioned alcoholic. bb)

That 90’s should be good. Wife has been watching Firefly Lane lately. A little chick flicky for me but its honestly growing on me
My wife is always watching these weird vampire romance shows it’s basically a regular romance show but everybody is some vampire I don’t really care for them. I like that big sky though it’s kinda like that but okay to watch

We watched the most recent episode last night. Balled my eyes out, if that doesn't win an emmy there is no justice in this world.
I just binged the first 3 eps today. Yeah that last episode was like a damn standalone movie. So hauntingly beautiful. I concur the Bill guy definitely should get nominated for something. I could go on and on but I bet you get it.
