Just binge-watched the fifth season of Fargo. Unbelievably good television - every aspect of it. Jennifer Jason Leigh and Jon Hamm are just too good at what they do. I've loved every season, but nothing topped the first for me... until now. The Cohen Brothers at their very best, and very weirdest. Highly recommended...

That was a great season, I kinda felt bad for the state trooper at the end … and if ever a man is taking in the third person and then mentions a woman is not a woman but a tiger….don’t wait around to see how the story ends , get the outta dodge.

FARGO SPOILERS IN THIS POST! - I liked the trooper character, but the way he was killed garnered no sympathy from me. Everyone knew that sheriff wasn't going to be taken alive (even though he was). I loved the that the last 20 minutes of the series was all Ole Munch. To learn that he was like 500 years old, and the cure to his miserable immortality was to 'eat something made with love and joy, and be forgiven' was super weird and beautiful. I really thought it was going to end No Country For Old Men style...

This is a great series so far. Could use some more action/flying instead of the inter personal stuff but...
Special effects and CGI are top notch.
Some of the interior aircraft "in flight" scenes thru flak and fighters are pretty intense.

"The most dangerous were the first and last five trips. During the whole war, 51% of aircrew were killed on operations, 12% were killed or wounded in non-operational accidents and 13% became prisoners of war or evaders. Only 24% survived the war unscathed"

100th BG: 8630 missions in 22 months with a loss of 177 aircraft and 732 airmen

My UPT instructor flew B-24 Liberators during WWII and then after the French resistance smuggled him out during his last crash they brought him home and he headed the EDW test section for awhile. It's where he became friends with Yeager. There's a story I could tell about Flak jackets. But the punchline is the newbies wore them and the guys who had done 1 run sat on them. YMMV

You knew someone was special when they had 2, one to wear and one to sit upon. LOL, ugly times
