what are your flushing methods?

I thought "flushing" was basically just watering as usual without nutes/ferts? If there's no point to flushing should you at least stop feeding in the last two weeks or should you go all the way to harvest feeding as usual?

I feed as normal through harvest, and often get compliments on my bud...I don't understand the reasoning behind flushing. The fan leaves yellow, sure that's kind of their job, to provide nutes to the buds. But if you notice after flushing your buds are just as green. So if you cure properly either way it will be good I just don't see the point in not giving it the nutes it needs when your plant is fattening.. but as mentioned he's looking for how to flush, though I realize the reasoning is questionable

all real growers i know flush unless they grow organic in super soil in this case they are already only giving the plant water. if you feed with salt based nutes you will have some salt buildup in the medium. for coco start plain ro water 5-10 days before harvest you could go as soon as 4 days to harvest. in soil i always give plain water 7-10 days before harvest. dont listen to these morons who say not to flush. i tried their moron theories many years ago and the bud tasted like shit and did not burn clean. dont listen to uncle ben especially he is a moron who does not even grow.

are you saying to water (water only) for 7-10 days straight, or as needed?

every grower has their own tricks and ways to grow, and have valid points. im not knocking anyone's way to do their thing. I asked a simple question on what method of flushing you do, or a good way to go about it. not to get into another heated debate on weather flushing is needed or not needed. that's been discussed in the 1000+ other threads that have been beat to death.

thanks everyone for their input. ill figure it out for myself. the ONLY reason im going to flush is the recipe ive been following from technaflora calls for it. last 7 days of flowering, first 3 days get 40ml/gal of water of sugar daddy followed by 4 days of flushing.

I grow hydro and aero so I empty the res and system, this is the final flush not the in between 2 week flushes, add fresh water usually to a 60 gallon res. I ph it to 5.0 add my FloraKleen flushing agent and run for the last 5 days before harvest. In the middle week flushes same thing but I flush for only 3 days then back to the feed schedule.

imo its not necessary to flush an organic/soil garden but it wont hurt. when using synthetic fertilizers it is necessary. either way i use flora kleen or clear-x and just water normally the last 10 days or so with the last watering being straight ro water

My girlfriend and I use our shower. We put 3 to 4 plants in at a time. Example of what I do. Water a 2 gallon pot with 2 gallons of water. Wait 1/2 hour. Run another 2 gallons through the pot again. I read that waiting will help break things loose for a better flush. So far my girlfriend and I have only flushed once in the middle of our grow to knock out any salt build up. We will flush our plants with Molasses and Sucanat next time we water. I do flush with Molasses and the Sucanat but I will decrease the amount used over the next 3 waterings. We are growing in super soil and it looks like we got our amount of nuts right. Maybe more SS next time and less base.

Funny. I always type me or I and then think that I should change it to we. As I proof read what I type I usually notice I used I, my, our, and we. Not liking inconsistency I will change them all to plural unless it is literally just about me. I always wonder if people catch this or think its odd.

I'm picturing a rubber ducky floating around in this pool of flushing water that has been blessed by a local priest.

i run a drain to waste drip system in coco with two 55 gallon reservoirs (one for each side of the room) the plant get watered 3 times a day in flower each getting about 1-2 gallons total per day. they are in 3 gallon smart pots. my res's need to be refilled every 3-4 days. when i flush i may give a bit more water so i see runoff but not 5-7x the normal daily amount. i suggest using a flushing agent as well but it is not necessary. when i refer to flushing all it means to me is give plain ro phd water and maybe with a flushing agent. hope this helps

i flush the pots (2-3x the amount i normally give for minimal runoff) 7 days before i anticipate harvesting. Then, I just continue to feed straight water as needed. This is my method for flushing that I use for a super soil type "just add water" mix.

When I like to stress the fuck out of my plants, I run gallons of water through the pots, they hate that.
Then I go outside and kick myself in the nuts and remove one of my teeth with a hacksaw.

I use a toilet. I pull the lever as I put the seat down or as I stand up. Once in a while I use a plunger too.

I have come across so many advertisements claiming to help reduce belly fat. Some use medicine, some dieting, some gadgets like 'Sona Belt', some physical exercises, yoga etc. Has any member a first hand experience of undergoing any such treatment and if so to what effect?

if you all are seriously joking about flushing, I'd hate to be the person that relies on your pot for medical treatment. Flushing, without a doubt, makes for a better burning product.

I would love to see your reaction when you smoked some of my non flushed and flushed and couldn't tell a difference. I have done many of blind taste tests on people with non flushed and flushed and not a single person can tell the difference.

Perhaps your bud is bad enough that a flush makes it taste better. Flushing doesn't do a thing to the taste of my correctly grown bud.
