the Fischer company developed their "Space Pen" THEMSELEVES!

nasa didnt give em a dime save through purchasing their product for use in zero g.

space pens were developed for engineers, mechanics, and other cats who often need to write shit when upside down, or in conditions where a pencil just doesnt work.

fischer space pens write when wet, write on the waxed card, are indelible, and dont just scratch the card like a pencil does.

workin on a diesel engine, with oil, hydraulic fluid and shit everywhere, and need to make a note on a piece of tape to mark a bolt and it's location? space pens write through oil. pencils dont.
