I support a woman's right to abort a pregnancy up to a point. Some legislators are trying to set that limit at 20 weeks of gestation. If I were emperor of the universe, I would make the cutoff 12 weeks. Three months is plenty of time to decide to get an abortion.
Somebody above set something like, "I support a woman's right to choose. But I think it's murder."
Not picking on the person who said that, but if murdering another person is simply a choice, then we have descended into anarchy.
A fetus at 40 weeks of gestation is a human.
A fetus at 39 weeks of gestation is a human.
A fetus at 38 weeks of gestation is a human.

I was joking about you being aborted btw. I read an article the other day talking about how a company is using baby fetus's to make flavanoids or flavors for products. I don't know how much truth there is to that but even snopes says the company is using some part of the fetus to enhance flavors. That to me is downright fucking disgusting and cannibalism in my book. The reason people feel so great about abortion is because they have no responsibility anymore.
If a woman is raped and impregnated I have no clue what should happen, I don't think she should be forced to raise a baby possibly by herself.. or what if she has a husband and now they are raising a rapists baby? On the other hand why should the baby be punished for its fathers actions?

I support a woman's right to choose an elective abortion up to a point, regardless of who the father is or the circumstances of conception. As I said, three months seems like enough time to decide, but I am a reasonable person and willing to accept a longer period, say 20 weeks. Twenty weeks is nearly five months. That is a long time and the growing fetus becomes more human by the day.
I don't support any body's "right" to murder you, or Pinworm, or Unclebuck, or Kelly4 or anybody else. I even oppose the death penalty for prisoners convicted of heinous crimes, though not from any moral position. Likewise, I don't support any body's "right" to murder a baby.
Who here supports elective abortion as a "right" of a woman, regardless of the length of gestation?

I am sure every parent has had that thought at one time or another. Not saying they would but we all think crazy at times.
Also I would say 3 months is a lengthy amount of time to decide.

I think Abortion is a personal choice that I detest, but realize prohibition doesn't work and making it illegal would make things worse.
I also think once a child is viable to live on it's own, abortion should no longer be a choice. Our government has put that age at 26 years old. So you should only be allowed to kill your children up to that age.
