What base for every other day hand watering ,soil/perlite or coco ?

So, I want to do 1 grow without water chillers and bubblers etc. just like a simple kind of a soil grow.
but to make it a bit faster and a bit better yielding I want to make an base which has some amount of perlite or vermiculite in to the mix...so that when plants are about 120 cm size the watering would be 1 time a day or 1 time every second day...I want to have just flat simple tray under neat the pots so the growing medium should be the kind of that is not needed to pour for much drainage just enough to wet the media.
I think coco is meant for lite more run off in watering,,,so that might not be suitable...
So hand watering nute mix 1 time a day or every second day in the bit earlier stage....
Suggestion what would be the perfect growing medium mixture for my needs ?

First off, I would just like to say that having to water everyday, or even every other day, would be a huge pain in the ass. Why not just do a standard blend of coco, peat, and perlite and water every 4-6 days instead? Secondly, I am not quite sure how watering your plants in this way would make them "...a bit faster and a bit better yielding..". Is there a special reason that you would need/want to water this way?

Whell I have always done hydro so far , clay balls with constant water flow in Wilma system, or coco/perlite with several watering thru the day which all reguires water tanks ,pumps, air stones and water chillers.
Now I want to do hand watering in a growing medium which would grow fast and yield well like close in yields and speed to hydros... but without the tanks and chillers...so there is no urge of me to water any more than necessary,,but I can't deal with something where there is waste water, what needs to be worried about,,meaning, not to have some deep containers which gets drain water and starts smelling and rottening, instead something what I can hand water to a low tray like normal flowers but with hydro results,,,
so I am not familiar of the hand watering systems, so I like to know which would be easy and productive dealing with 24 plants in 11L. pots

So , how is it with regular soil and perlite mixture watering,,,how much perlite should there be for good aerorating..? and if 50 %
how often it requires watering,,,is there benefits of having 50 % or is 25-30 % better..?

A regular soil mix (Compost, coco, peat, castings) should be about 30 - 35% aeration (such as perlite). In a soil based medium like this a mature plant can go 4-6 days without watering. Younger ones in smaller pots will need to be watered slightly more often, maybe every 3-4 days. I've never grown in soil that was 50% perlite, but I can image it would dry out slightly quicker. I wouldn't bother using that much unless your deeply afraid of over-watering.

Ok, wau that's a lots of mixing together, in what ratio do you mix these ingredients .
And how do you go from small cup to next size in filling the products in the pots (how many pot sizes before the final 11L. pot transplanted)...and how do you build the layers in the pot (like more perlite in the bottom )...if you have a good link for instructions it would appreciated,,,I did find some instructions but they all wary a bit..

This is a good place to start. This guide will walk you through making your own soil from scratch as well as adding nutrients to it. Very easy to understand. While there is nothing wrong with buying a premix like FFOF or RO, building your own soil is also very rewarding. Buildasoil recommends a 1:1:1 of peat moss, perlite, and compost/vermicompost. From here you can discover your own mixes, My mix is 1 part coco, 1 part peat, 1 part worm castings, and 1.5 parts perlite/pumice).

Thanks, makes me think about maybe still using coco because of its simplicity and not too much of bugs ether .
Usually with coco I'we been using 50/50 perlite and that requires several watering's daily .
So using more just coco and at the bottom perlite it would require less watering and it would act like the soil grow.
I'we still haven't seen the thru reason why people love soil grows, is it the several days and no watering needed or
what is the real reason ?

Sunshine + Bontincare GroPro and Bloom for the win.
It all depends on container size as far as watering schedule goes, by the end of the grow sometimes my plants need watering every other day at the most

I haven't run sunshine I heard good things; is it peat based or coco base
I run sunshine mix advanced #4 straight up. It is coco based. I love the stuff, I just got a come roots organic, but the shits more expensive, it does has some more beneficial organic fertilizer in it, but i prefer SS#4 Advanced. And botanicare is like 45 a gallon on amazon, same for flower but a gallon of each will last you multiple grows. Maybe pick a little PK booster for the end, but just those to nutrients from Botanicare give me great results. Lots of different ways to do it though, just find a grower on here that has some good grows behind there belt and mimic their grow this is what i did on my first grow. Sunshine is my fav soil I have used.
This is the one i use, I believe there are a few different mixes

I feel like a kid in a candy shop..well I think the BioBizz looks great its pre loaded for at least 2 weeks with nutes. And the BioBizz nutes are great to continue with,,,
I am not sure about the Compo Sana that is like completely more or less meaning to be used only by adding water to the beginning to the end or so..it might be ok for regular plants ,,don't know if you can optimize your results with it...like when you add on your own...
Dam can't wait to get things rolling..

I started on hydro bc it was fun and technical and I got to build lots of stuff and got great harvests right from the start. I always wondered why anyone would do anything else. Then a buddy grew out a cut of mine in his version of super soil. The difference was obvious. It seemed his harvest was close to the same, and he pulled at the same 9 weeks when I did. It was the the flavors that did it. That and all he ever did was water. No mixing, measuring, or pHing. Now, that would take away from my tinkering, but I've found it makes more time for other things like plant maintenance, inspection and cleaning. So to sum it up, I got healthier, happier plants that taste alot richer and fruitier and with more resin production. But I still water every other to 3rd day.
