are you talking about how they are red? or that they are kind of flimsy. i beleive tis because i started them with the leds up to high but i fixed that when it was 2 weeks into bloom

Regardless, I would say 6 weeks. Seen hundreds of plants harvested too early, I've done so myself twice, but I have yet to see a single plant harvested too late.

Spot on. People seem to think that because they have flipped a switch, the plant is immediately flowering. If they were to sit back and watch how the plants react to the change, it takes a week for them to notice and then another week for them to start to do anything about it. Depending on the strain, it's maturity and the environment at the time, it could take up to 3 weeks for actual flowering to start. I have no actual scientific proof of this. This is all based on personal observation and experience.
I agree with you, that is about half way there. So on the basis it probably started flowering a couple of weeks into it's current 8 week cycle, that makes 6 weeks so far, meaning it has 6 weeks to go. 12 weeks seems to be about average for a plant to be actually ripe.
As to how to improve things, I'd like to know more about what is being done now. But on the face value of those pictures, I'd say the lighting and feeding need to be looked at and then some kind of basic training.
It would help massively if you gave some more information regarding your current set up.
Strain, lights, growing medium and feeding program, area. - all this info will help you get quality advice.
I noticed people have picked up on the red stems and this isn't always a cause for concern as some strains have red stems naturally.
From looking at the pictures you posted your bud development is doing well and you haven't gone too far wrong in my opinion.
Have noticed some cupping on a few leaves which could indicate too hot/too dry but if you have your humidity and temp in check then ignore that. On that note, if you are not familiar with VPD it would be worth learning about it as a lot growers tend not to give it much time but will pay you back in the long run.
As for when flower starts.. personally I would count from the day you flip to 12 12.. but this has been a long running debate for many years and will continue to be. Each to their own I say. But from a scientific point of view, as soon as a plant gets one night of 12 hours, (or there abouts) flowering hormones begin to increase. And this will result in the plants stretching and eventually producing flowers.. each strain will have its own habits which can be affected by the environment.. and to be honest, the only reason it matters when you start counting flowering from is if you are going to run cuts of the same plant again and want to plan time wise. Otherwise, all you need to know is when they are ready. And you do that by looking at the trichromes and the overall appearance.

thank you all for the responses so i am under a hlg spec r 750 as well as 4 mars hydro lights i will get model when i get home. i want to say the humidity is not right i can deffinately fix that. i use pools as drain pans i also use kool bloom powdered. my ph is 6.5 in the runoff with the ppm around 550 i use a water chiller i got a ph adjuster but i havent hooked it up yet. i also use molasses once a week to keep microbes up. also i tied them up 3 days ago and the red stems im use to in this strain. its british columbia god bud from bc bud depot feminized.
