Hi everyone. I was wondering, i want to do some plants next year outside. What could i grow in a northern Michigan climate? Cold and/or snow until May. Usually stuff can be planted after May 24. Frost by November at the latest.
Are there any plants that will grow decently in this climate?
Any help or suggestions would be great.
Regular or autos, doesnt matter.
thanx

If you plant in May some strains will start to flower because the day is still too short. I recommend going out in early June. Blue dream, hash plant, green crack, all do great outside. All strains will grow outside but some strains are more susceptible to pests and mildews. Also some strains such as Purples can do great outside because they are hardy enough strains, but they don't yield much even when planted in the ground you'll be lucky to get a pound off of the plant.

i definitely wouldnt plant in may, myself, and i would start them indoors. I didnt know id be able to grow a blue dream or green crack at this lattitude. thats good news.
what about a diesel hybrid? think that would do ok?
The weather, in my area anyways, its pretty humid in mid-july/aug. daytime temps for the summer probably average of 75F, going down to 55/60F and up to 100F+ for a short spell sometimes. Pretty heavy rain come september after labour day usually. Not too humid where i would worry about bud rot or anything tho. Good number of pretty sunny days, usually not too cloudy alot.
I would love to grow green crack.
Thoughts on a diesel? Or a chronic strain would be nice...maybe fruity chronic juice.
Some auto purple kush maybe a Kosher?

Definitaley early flowering strong Indica dominate strains. Probably more low yield plants to get a better cola. I'd call BC Bud Depot and ask them.
