hi folks 4 week old white widow from seed, growing in SeaSoil container gardening mix. growth on this plant has been very slow and it is significantly smaller then my other plants of similar age. then yesterday i notice a little brown spot on 1 leaf that today looks a little worse, i can also see small spots developing on the same leaf on the oposite side of the plant. what could be causing it?

I really suck at soil....nute burn maybe.

Lolz - I wish my plants looked so good.
thanks, but not really helpful. thats the runt of my plants its only 5inches across and 4inches tall, all my other plants are just as old but much much larger and there all between 4 and 5 weeks old. im quite worried about her, i mean sure she looks healthy but why the sudden brown spot? and why isnt she growing?

heres a pic for comparrision where u can see all my plants. the 2 on the left are polar express autos. the right bottom is white widow cheese, and the top right is the white widow. as you can see there is a ton of difference in size. the cheese widow was topped a couple days ago. the top left polar express has a lot of yellowing on old leafs but the new leafs are all coming in nice and green. ive had yellow tips on most of my leaves throught the whole grow, was advised it was probably by hot soil, the plants seem to have grown out of it. there all under LED light. Im worried about the little one so if this brown spots im finding are an issue i need to deal with id like to deal with it as quickly as possible, anyone know what it is?

Get some pics of them under natural light so we can see the actual color of the leaves.

Whats the ph in each pot? Are they dif. from each other? Maybe some kind of nute lockout on the small one.
yeah i think your right. i just did a test on the run off and it came in at 5-5.5 im going to have to get some ph up or something before my next watering i think. the other pots are all between 6-7. weird that just this 1 plant is off i treat them all the same.

The beauty of growing my friend........But yea def. get that ph up in that pot. Your locking out all kinds of nutes at a ph of 5......Keep us posted on how it does...

its phosphorus deficiency, Make sure the ph is right 6.5, and if you havn't started using nutrients i suggest you start, though N def usually shows up first not p.

Will do, hopefully it will start catching up. i want to start flowering my widows after i harvest the auto's and that should be in a month and a half or so. my other widow is doing fantastic, its bushy and green no signs of nute burn or deficancy. I topped this plant, then when the new growth came in i topped it again, the second top was 3 or 4 days ago.

just an update. based on what ive read in this thread and plenty of research ive decided that the problem is definatly ph nutrient lockout, and i think it is effecting my tall auto plant as well as today it appeared to be showing signs of mag deficancy. Im going to be flushing with ph neutral water on sunday morning. I use tap water thats been left out for 48hrs so it will take that long to get enough ready. plus i watered to days ago so i want the soil to have a chance to dry out a bit first so i dont drown anyone.

update on this. flushed yesterday morning, been about 36 hours now. plants seem to be improving, the leaves on the tall auto have flattened back out, they were quite curled, the leaves that had been showign mag def still look the same, and i imagine they will for a while, the problem hasnt spread though. going to get some cal mag this week just in case.
the little one that was stunted and had phos def grew 2 inches lateraly last night and half an inch verticly, the deficancy has finnaly stoped spreading.
its looking liek they will make a full recovery, thanks RIU for advice and such
