what did my buddy do and how do i fix it?? + lots pics.+rep

i set my buddy up with a rather large grow, started the seeds, they are about 2 weeks old right now, he has them in a box under floro's. the soil is a mix of top soil, and horse manure, with perlite, vermiculite, and creek gravel all mixed up together..
the plants are all suffering, all i get are pic updates. were tryin to find out why they are mutating, crinkling and yellowing, they should be much much bigger. im really getting worried.

i have grown lots of outdoors before, am new to indoors, but i have never had an entire crop suffer like this before.... im 300 miles away from them and cant get the hands on. thats how i work hands on and now im having to be an intermediary on my winter smoke!! please if you have any guerss as to what might be wrong let me know. im gonna post a few of a previous outdoor run

as you can see growing outdoors is what i do, but i do it all alnoe. and have my own set routine i use, whereas this time, i am just a proxy sort of. im the partner that just sits back in another state and recievs a portion of the harvest for the work i did before planting, providing genetics, and the work im gonna have at harvest.... if theres a harvest.

im wondering if it could be a nutrient burn from the horse manure? he has absolutley no money and rushed things. instead of waiting for a few days and buying decent potting soil, we went to a horse bnarn and scrapped the old manure/dirt from inside there. then placed seedlings in those cups.

I think it is the soil also need to get rid of the SH*T and get good soil with a heavy dose of B1 for shock you might save it But Hurry it looks bleak!!Happy Farming, Cajun

Yup. That soil is too hot and/or he is over watering them as well. Horse poop should be aged first.

yeah dude, you might as well start over. Or have your buddy start over, whatever your doing.. start over.

for one, don't put gravel into the mix.. that's surely not going to help anything bro. gravel takes up a lot of volume/room.. room that could be filled with some nice organic soil.. instead of crap.

just start over.. that's what I would do.

P.S. - You do realize that most species of rock are porous. Meaning they have tiny tiny wholes on the outer layer.. just like a humans skin does. Well, those pores can actually store moisture which is good, however.. who knows whats mixed with that moisture. I mean, it could be run-off from a meth-lab (not likely, but possible); It could be a mix of rainwater, urine, and God knows what else. Not a good thing to put into the soil.

If your worried about drainage.. just make sure you have plenty of drainage holes in the containers your using to grow in. I personally.. will even put small, pen-sized holes in the sides of my grow pots. Don't put them too far up the side of the pot/container though.. if you do that, then the layers of soil below those holes won't get much if any water/nutrients when you water/feed them. Not only do the extra holes on the sides of the pots help with drainage.. but it also gives greater access to oxygen/air to the soil/roots. Which, we all know.. the more oxygen/air the plants get.. the happier they are.

Anyhow, just giving out a few tips/advice.. just trying to help.

Yeah best bet would be to pot them in some better soil. Without any buffers PH is may be a problem as well.
