Basement is cold and drafty, space heater and LED never gave an even temp in the winter, never worked so I got a 1000/600w digital ballast and reflector. Also have heat mats underneath with temp controllers.
Tent temp went from 59 to to 79 using a 600w MH bulb with low exhaust, so 1000w HPS for flower mid winter might just work. (:


They screwed up and sent a 35lb box/10 reflectors, lol. I'm just sending them back, minus one.

I have thought about getting an old school set up for winter basement grows also. You will still need some heat for lights off?

Seriously though I worked on my husband to get him to start using my stash for his pain (not just my edible he's a huge fan of that, but the quicker onset with smoke or dab when he's in so much pain). Once he started using what I grew he was a lot more enthusiastic. I owe the Freeze Dryer to my Koolatron build. He didn't like to smoke because of the way I dried mine it was very harsh. The Koolatrons take too long but their product is AMAZING and that converted him as he's currently smoking ALL my Chicken Dinner it tastes like a Creamsicle. I have to roll his joints too, I need to rethink this. Anyway with my accidental monster crop I can only do a very small part in the Koolatron but I'd heard a number of very good reviews on the FD so I'm going to try it. I hope it works.

Ooh so you are going to freeze dry the bud itself!? I thought it was for drying bubble! Sounds like you might need to put him to work in the garden to earn his joints! Hahaha j/k my wife sadly gets pretty bad anxiety from most strains. So that "selling point" is out sadly hahaha. I just have to make enough in my side hustles to get it I guess. Some day! I wish you and yours all the best and hope that thing gets you amazing results!
