what do i do now, with all these poppies?

i know nothing about poppies, i came across a tonn of em, now what do i do with them, poppies are poppies right? bright red flowers and a bulb. positive rep for any info

soak them up in a pot of water for 2-3 days then strain off the liquid and filter out all the plant materials then u can either just drink it or boil it down to an oil and let it cure until its dosent stick then roll it into a ball like hash and hot knife it, always be carefull tho dont drink too much

Only Papaver Somniferum produces an opium latex when small incisions are made on a closed bulb. If they are still in the ground take a single shaving razor (like you would cut powders with *sniff sniff*) and make very shallow cuts along the bulb and wait for the latex to come out. If you have a lot I think it maybe better to do it at sunset so you can just cut all of them and wait till the next day for the latex to harden and remove them from the pods. If they're bulbs that have already been harvested crush them up and add 2-3 pods along the seeds if you can fit them, they contain trace amounts of opium latex on them as well; to a teabag like material and soak them in warm water for about 30 minutes (maybe less, its been a while...)
