What do u soil growers throw your germinated seeds in?

Title says it all what kind of container do u first put your germinated seeds in before you transplant them?

I germed mine in a moist paper towel placed in a tupperware container placed in a dark place.. Worked just fine.

let sit in glass of water overnight. germ for a few days in moist paper towel inside tupperware. right into the soil.

Start between moist paper towels in a sealed baggie setting on a heating mat... or DVR, etc

once germinated, they go into solo cups (with drain holes) filled with Fox Farms a Happy Frog soil. I also like to add a handful of large perlite to the mix, but straight FFHF is fine too. Here's a pic of Northern lights and Meltdown (high CBD strain) just getting their legs in my veg tent.

Disregard the flowering clones :-) I'm trying my hand at monster cropping, it's supposed to make the clones really bushy.... we'll see

Germed mine right in a solo cup in coco soil mix, then transplanted them right into 4 gallon pots. Just keep the soil around the seed moist. I used a spray bottle to moisten the area around the seed. Temp from 75 to 80 degrees. I used 20% soil, 20% vermiculite, and 60% coco for my mix. When you go to transplant just use scissors and cut the solo down one side and opposite on the other. Pull cup apart and transplant without hurting the roots. Just let the soil dry for 24 hrs after water and the soil won't even crumble. Easy as cake. First time grower and worked perfect for me.

I stopped having germination problems when I began starting seeds directly in Fox Farms Lighthouse Warrior mix.

Red solo party cups. I run slits from the rim down to the bottom all around the cup. When I am ready to transplant I just snip the rim above the splits. Peel the cup like a banana and then put my seedling into it's new pot. Completely stress free transplant.

I go with a square pot that is 5x5x7 (inches). I am in tight spaces so always aim for square to get the most dirt as possible. I use my potting mix, light on the worm castings for this pot. (combo of perlite, worm castings, peat, top soil, and lime). Then transplant after 2-3 weeks. I germ them in wet papertowel on the cable box between a bowl and a plate.

light warrior in solo cups with bottled water. with a clear cup cut in half and placed over the top of the cup to form a humidity dome for each cup. and i use a heat mat most of the year.

Germ in soil, leave in soil. 100% success 20-30 plants... before I did this way only about 75% with paper towel etc

Straight in soil, under 500w cfl, 80 degree temp. All seem to sprout at same time within Max 3 days..for me it takes 2-3 days just to get a tap root with paper towel....

Like a few others here, I don't try to pre-germinate my seeds in paper towels, or soak them. If you know your seeds are quality and they aren't more than 3 years old, and were stored properly, then they shouldn't need soaking at all.

Seeds go directly into soil/less, SAM#4 with earthworm castings usually. I have even used recycled soil + whatever fresh mix I had left over to germinate seeds, with fine results. The container used ideally should be no shorter than 3.5" deep, as the tap root is rather immediately going to want to extend down about 2-3 inches shortly after emerging.

Paper towel method between two plates, with warmth from lights in grow closet. (about 75 degrees) Transferred to solo cup, 707 soil from Aurora. (100% success rate)

I *think* I'm going to switch to the germ in soil, leave in soil method, as it's much less hassle. I'm not sure though, as I really really love peeking at the seeds between the paper towels and getting all excited with the wonders of nature when I see them sprout. [I'm a big geek!]
