Not so much since lead shot was banned for waterfowl huntingWas he talking about guns too? Lots of lead poisoning comes from that source.
The alternatives (like steel, bismuth, and tungsten) are all pretty crappy

Gold works a treat. When asteroidal platinum metals get cheap, shotgunning will benefit. Not so much since lead shot was banned for waterfowl hunting

Lead pipes are such an obvious hazard. The Lincoln Project should hammer this and other R public health obstructions. The party that wants Americans dead. Was he talking about guns too? Lots of lead poisoning comes from that source.
Anyway, bills to address replacing lead pipes were stalled by Republicans in congress.
What's your point?

Consider the solubilities and toxicities of the materials you’ve listed. Your argument fails on two fronts: quantity of materials being leached, and their specific toxic doses.I dont have lead pipes but i do have bronze, potable approved plastic and some type of braided steel lines. Not sure what's worse? Don't they all leach stuff and react with each other?
Platinum used to be worth more than goldGold works a treat. When asteroidal platinum metals get cheap, shotgunning will benefit.
Its rain water i collect in a concrete tank. Arguable the cleanest rain water in the world.Consider the solubilities and toxicities of the materials you’ve listed. Your argument fails on two fronts: quantity of materials being leached, and their specific toxic doses.
This is one that has to be answered quantitatively, and step 1 is getting your water from the tap analyzed.
Lead is reactive, soluble and more toxic than anything you’ve listed, unless your bronze is brass. Brass from India and probably China is leaded.
