What do you do when you cant water any more?

I posted on another page but since Im a noob I should prolly ask for help here :)

I have three Sour D plants and one Tangerine Kush plant between 50 and 60 inches tall. They have about 50% red hairs as of today and close to harvest. Ive noticed that my normal watering cycle is now leaving the plants a little droopy. I Increased the amount and frequency which resolved three of the four but the Kush just doesnt seem to be happy with what its getting

Im watering it till I see a little bit coming out the bottom (little pre flush for harvest) about every 48hrs (or even 36) and its still drooping and looking sad. Heres an updated pic from tonight. Since Im putting enough in there to see it run through (and I do stagger the water, I dont just dump it all at once till it leaks) Im not sure how to give it more and I dont want to drown the roots.

Water till I flood it? Light Foliage sprays? Im Lost.

Dont foliar spray.

Have you checked the soil? Is it wet or dry?

Plants don't use water on a schedule. They use it when they need it. You could be overwatering.

I wait until the pot is light and the soil is dryish 2 or 3" down. This usually takes about 4 days. Then I water until there is good runoff. I usually flood the pots and let the water sink in then add more. This ensures that the entire pot is getting water and there are no dry pockets. It also helps prevent buildup at the bottom.

I give 1 gallon for each 3.5 gallon pot. I like to make sure I am getting run off evenly through all holes on the bottom.

But I would suggest you water based on the plants needs rather than on a schedule.

Thanks for the feedback but to be clear, I never stuck religiously to a schedule they just always needed it every few days consistently but it seems like nothing cuts it now. Im thinking I may let them just get totally dry and hit em with a full gallon, usually just done 1/2 - 3/4's.

With this little time to go and aside from not watering them at all or doing anything crazy, there's not much I could do to truly fuck them up.....right? Im leaving for a week on business and my wife will be taking care of them, thats why I ask.

PS: Dont tell her I said that!

Every 48 hrs.?
How would you like it if somebody made you drink a gallon of water on their schedule?
Seriously though, from the sound of it, you are flooding her.
let her perk up between waterings, then pot get light and plant maybe start to droop even, before the next water.
That's pretty much how I water, and here's the result, after only 30 days in this pot.May1PKtransplant_zps01f82f36.jpg

I always pour about another half gallon to gallon past the point of runoff, going from stem to rim of pot, just to make sure I soak the whole thing.

Holy crap. You are the man. That plant looks lush as hell for being young. How old was she at that point?

Mrpuffins...How much longer do you expect them to go? No folliar because of the risk of mold, rot, etc. Just have her water them every third day and that will do it. My wife has helped me out too plenty. Good luck.

That is a big plant to only be giving such little amount of water...
How much would you water. 1, 1 1/2 gallons? I made some overwatering mistakes early on so I have been cautious... maybe to a fault. Live and learn right?

"Overwatering" is watering too often, not the amount you pour each time.
You want the soil to dry out between days you pick up the watering can, but when you do, you want to pour enough water, slowly, that you get some coming out of the holes at the bottom.

Update. Let the problem plant dry out and then hit it with a gallon 48 hours about and its still looking a little sad. the other three look fine but I think I will be harvesting this weekend and since it doesnt look dead or dying I am going to stop worrying (of course I want it to be the best it could be) to much.

thanks again for the feedback all

Can you give us some recent pics before you check out?
Maybe we can give a last min. recommendation?
Sounds like you have leveled out, but.............

Mary Jane loves to be soaked with tons of water, after she has dried out almost completely. Roots love being starved of water as long as they get some before they die. Overwatering bigtime.
