First I wrote software... I got tired of sitting in front of a terminal for 40+ hours/week
Then I designed printed circuit boards and programmable gate arrays... got tired of it, same as above.
Then I designed radio transcievers and gps receivers on integrated circuits (aka computer chips)... too many people trying to protect their asses. I got tired of the shitflow.
Now I... hmm... in a way teach people how to do the above stuff.
School was short, pay is good, but there are no jobs out there. The economy sucks!!!!!!!!!
I'd say, if your a people person, pick something you like for undergrad, anything science based but with engineering at the end (chemical, electrical, nuclear, etc) and go get an MBA right away. Then, find a job in marketing or sales. For some reason, engineers with MBA's are loved!
