i just ordered my fan and whatnot, and i am wondering how i should vent this from one closet into another room (after its filtered) without letting attic air (cold or hot) leak into my closet/room

i was thinking a dryer vent but im not sure

my priority is i want a decent seal on the ceiling so that hot attic air doesnt come down into my room

screw duct tape and use HVAC tape instead it is waterproof and airtight and strangly enough you can sand and paint it if you wish. Somethign similar to this you can buy it at your local big or small hardware stores http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_SPM718110101P?sid=IDx20101019x00001b&srccode=cii_18492716&cpncode=00-4520688-2. Although it usually runs around 12-15 dollars a roll.
I also use these when going through something or at the beginning of a run, without the duct board whatever that is. Also keeps the duct from getting tore up from rubbing agianst hole.
You can even leave the crimp open and use it as a collar to hold it from falling through the hole.

install a bathroom vent setup.

HD or Lowes has them. from 18.00 up to 200 (for a unit with a 220v heater in them also)

I picked up a 70CFM bathroom ceiling vent with normal 100w light for 40.00 plus tax.
its 2.5 scones, so not very loud, and at 70CFM move 3 times as much air thru my room compared to room size. basicaly my cieling fan vent is for a br 3 times larger than my grow room.

when you isntall the ceiling fan setup, use a double sided tape, and duct tape to seal the fan box to the ceiling area, then install the cover. this will help unsure the air is being drawn out of the room and not around the upper area of the cieling fan box.

my 4 inch vent from the ceiling box will go to my no longer used LP Watehr Heater roof vent. I have an electric WH now, and left the vent inplace should i ever go back, or should i ever get Natural gas here.

exactly what i needed

good suggestions everywhere though
Glad its what you were looking for. I like the SPIGOT PLATES because you just cut your hole and attach a SPIGOT PLATE to each side of your hole and clamp on your ducting.

Nice and simple.
