I think saving and reusing stuff like that is the best of recycling. It takes creativity and forethought. It isn't easy. My father was very good at that. But I am not. I'd love to see some of your other projects.

I don't know if I'd want to put up pics of other stuff, most of it isn't nearly as aesthetic, and has more weight in it from screws and nails than wood..lol. I actually took my time on this one. My and a buddy were talking last night about building crap like this. We both have seen that flea market flip show, I think i could get like $150 for this sink, if i changed the tub to something more rustic, like a galv. bucket. He thinks i should be doing welded art with all the scrap metal i have around, probably another good idea. I have the materials and the creativity, just usually not the ambition.

Well PM me some of the pics. I'd love to see them. Flea market flipping of re-purposed useful items along with welded sculpture could be well received. I know I'd love to have something in my, outdoor, garden LOL. Aesthetic etc....

You need to turn to the sativa side. I have such a hard time getting off my ass on indicas but I hate the paranoia I get from my sativaesque's but at least I can kind of get off my dead butt.

I'm going to post some pics later of the stuff I have found.

Only last week I picked up a TV monitor wih DVD player. All working! The gypsy who turned the corner was really pissed off as I walked off with it. I left the huge heavy old style TV for him though!

I just saw 2 wooden pallets up the road which were brand new and I need them but had disappeared after the dog walk.

Last week I saw a two seater leather sofa, I nearly pulled over to look but I don't do second hand soft furnishings for hygiene reasons. It didn't even have any rips so someone got lucky !

I buy dog poo bags but I also use up plastic bags from the grocers/pharmacy. As long as they don't have holes in them!

OH geez my hubby reuses all the grocery bags for dog poo. I prefer the nice tight rolls you buy so I don't walk around looking like I'm in clown pants my hips do that enough for me, I'm a pear, yeah tmi.

I was out running about a year ago and found an Ironrite I drug home. It works like a champ and even had the OEM chair. I keep telling myself I'm going to refinish them. But the Ironrite works so well it's hard to take it down to redo.

Because most folks won't know what a mangle looks like anymore.

I like the rolls! Mine have Watermelons printed on it! Nothing wrong with a classic pear, better than an apple anyday. I'm a triangle so my hips will never exceed my wide shoulders.

So what exactly does this contraption mangle? Iron you said? What do you use it for exactly? :)

I love a good Sat. but it's hard to come by, everyone wants couch lock indas. I have some Durban Poison seeds I'm hoping are still good.

One of my friends has two 45+" tvs that he got out of the trash. One was a rear projection 50" that needed a bulb, like $10, the other was a 45ish" lcd with a popped fuse, $2. People just throw stuff away without even looking at it, i don't get it.

I stay the F away from used furniture..we had a bedbug issue last year after some used furniture was brought into our house..we literally had to bag up 90% of our possessions, throw out mattresses and some other furniture and been treating for a year now..and I still don't know if we got all of them, have to wait for summer to see if they get active again..SUCKS SO BAD! I wanted to burn the house down at one point, it would have been so much simpler.

Fleas, scabies, bed bugs (had in Malaysia actually and not fun) are all reasons that I'd shy away from furniture unless it came from a friends house but even then one guy got scabies!!!

LOL My, doggy bags, are black with little white skulls on them! Of course you are a triangle with 5'4" legs simply of course. Me OTOH my ass is visible from low earth orbit.

I use it mostly for pressing of greige textiles. When textiles first come off a loom you have to finish them. Depending on the fibers you used to make the cloth it needs heat, steam and tons of pressing to set. The mangle turned a horrific job with a hand held iron into quick and easy.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ouch ouch ouch......... oh for a little DDT. I agree with you about people throwing away stuff without even looking, the disposable culture.
