$99 usd to aus is about $143 then add shipping of about $80 ish last i looked.
i was kind of just making a point wasn't using exact amounts.
regardless the light isnt worth that.
Yeah, I'd pay $99 for one, but not all the extra cost that would be required to get one to you.

what would happen if i plugged this led bored in to a lower powered driver then it originally had
i went to order then strips but shipping makes it not worth it so maybe i can reuse this old bored but run it at half its ratted watts ??

Sure, that can be done. Do you have the original driver to check voltage and current specs? What are you using now? What about one or two common screw in LED?

sorry bro, that might be my ignorance, but I thought all the parts are Chinese and built there. I have nothing against them at all, they are great value. Do you have backup for that? I'm very intreagued now.
replying to this here cause I see this logic popping up in a few threads and I wanted to clarify a few things. no disrespect skew.

Samsung is from south Korea
Nichia is from Japan
Meanwell is from Taiwan
Osram is german
Cree is American.
ect.

none of the components we use are designed in China. the only thing that’s in China are assemblers that purchase them just like lighting companies here do, except they will lie about the components they use to sell you a light they won’t stand behind.

Yeah I get that, and no offense taken at all.

no i dont have the original drivers im pretty sure it came out of a marzhydro apparently it was 100 ish watts
i veg under some pink 20w cree led and i flower under a spider farm sf 2000. 2 separate grow boxes
im just finding the 20w cree isnt enough. im considering just going a few screw in leds as its now looking like its the cheapest option or i was going to get that Meanwell Driver Power Supply XLG-100-H-A for $30 and try run that bored off that around half the power the driver can put out then add a pc fan to keep temps in check
