What do you think is wrong with this plant. Very Odd.

I searched for info on this problem but couldn't find anything specific.

~Aurora Indica (femd)
~In 3 gallon pots. (switched from 1 gallon pots to 3 gallon pots on the 3/27)
~ Happy Frog soil
~ Im using the complete line of General Hydroponics Organic Fertilizer.
~Im watering with tap water that has a ph of 8. Ive been lowering the ph to about 6.5 BEFORE adding nutes. I know you're not supposed to do that now. Runoff ph is 5.
-I later learned that General Hydroponics Organic Fertilizer is meant for tap water and you're not supposed to adjust ph (plus the company told me that the ph up and down could be harmful to the micro bacteria, etc. I asked if I should stop adjusting Ph and she said if it were up to her she would stop of using this spefic line of fertilizer.
~Temperature is stable at 70-80f
~400 watt CMH

**Plants are slightly droopy because it's almost time for a watering.

Im growing four aurora's. They are a little over 3 weeks old. Everything has been going great until recently. Three of the plants are still doing great. No problems with them at all. The fourth plant has started to go haywire around 3/27/13. For the longest it was my best looking plant too. Its hard for me to explain what is going on but I have plenty of pics.
First The fan leaves started to turn slightly brown. Next they started to wrinkle up. Now all of the new growth has brown spots and the leaves look pretty deformed and the fan leaves have yellow tips (only on the tips, and the yellowness hasn't started to spread from the tips) I don't know what went wrong with this plants but not the others. I've been doing everything the same. Im wondering if its genetic, a deficiency or shock from transplant. If you have any information that would be great. Much appreciated.

sounds to me like you need a water filter......check out "boogie blue" Chlorine filter...i think there around 45 bucks.
also looks like they might be snapping back from transplant shock.... try adding a b1 supplement and try foliar feeding some CAL MAG.
hope this helps ;)

Looks like a big PH fluctuation recently ... stop using nutes every feeding... and they should be balanced no matter what .. General Organics is very acidic and although they dont recommend balancing PH its pretty risky. And Hyroponics is certainly a concern ... I dont know about your medium but im guessing if its a PH of 5.0 coming its around 5.0 going in... with soil you should bring this up to the 6.0 range... all strains are different too though... mine looked similar to this after water very low PH and misting with the lights on.. only reason I recommend anything.

The first question is did you use the same soil or a different brand. The reason for asking is some soils have nutes in them already and by adding more nutes could put it over the top. It looks like nutrient burn so I would cut back on nutrients. Me personally I would flush or not use nutes for about a week. When you do go back to using nutes use less nutes. If your plants dont get much worse than that you should be ok you can also look at this link I found it might help http://www.growweedeasy.com/marijuana-symptoms

If your pH is 5.0, you run the risk of having multiple deficiencies at the same time. I agree with BuCannabis... you need cal/mag plus. Cal/mag plus has macro & micro nutrients... a must for keeping deficiencies at bay.

For soil the best pH to have is 6.8 because that is the best number for ALL available nutrients to absorbed into the plant without any of them being locked out.

The rust colored marks on top of your leaves(aka strawberry mark) is a Boron deficiency, along with the leaf mutations. The first two pics look like the beginning of a Magnesium deficiency as well. Give your plants a shot of cal/mag, approx. .5-1 tsp.(2.5-5ml) per gallon... you'll see results fairly quickly.

I hope this helps.

Good luck with your present and future grows.

Ok I will add some Cal/Mag next watering (tomorrow). Then Ill wait a few days to see if it gets better or worse and post some pics. Thanks EVERYONE!!!

When I water them tomorrow I will just add the Cal/mag. Ill give the other nutes a break. Ive watered a total of five times so far.
1. Normal watering
2. Half strength nutes
3. Normal watering
4. Half strength nutes
5.**transplant** Added root nutrients only

I agree with the opinion that you nutrient burnt them.
I am only adding my 2 cents because I also grow in Happy Frog.

My runoff tests are in between 6 and 6.5 PH.
Most nutrients are PH balanced to work with normal Tap Water.
Try mixing your nutrients at full strength with stale Tap water,( water that has sat for at least 24 hrs to evaporate Chlorine and Fluorine.), and then PH test the mix. I have noticed that most test at a PH of a 6.0.
I also never drop my PH water feedings below 6 to 6.5 PH. All runoff tests show steady at a PH of a 6 to 6.5.
If you are interested try this after you get your PH balanced out.

Your tap water is really bad - think about RO filter or using bottled water. And check EC/PPM of your water I assume that its already to high + you using nutes.

Its not a nute def guys...its broad mites. Google it. If left unchecked your plants will slowly fall into the abyss........ Their 1/4 size f spider mites and CANNOT be seen by naked eye. They inject a toxin while they suck and if allowed to get established the leftover toxin in leaf is more problematic than the bug itself. You will lose all four plants if you dont act. They will spread. The next symptom will be drawn in fan leaves that look like "rams horn" of N tox. Broad mites are almost alwasy misdiagnosed as a nute def. Act now! Peace.

That plant is diseased why i dont know and wont last much longer. If another one starts getting these symptoms get back to us asap. By the way its not mites and i doubt its nute burn , they have no burnt leaf margins.

Thanks for the extra info everyone.

~The PPM of my water is 195
~Water has been sitting out for 4-5 days... PH is still 8.0
~I checked some sample leaves for bugs under my microscope but I didn't see anything.

~Gonna give them another day before I water.

Yeah Ive [slightly] burned my plants on a past grow and it didnt look anything like this! No mutated leaves and no brown spots on new growth. It really gets overwhelming because it seems like the majority of MJ issues share some of the same signs.

Ive also used distilled water for my past grows but those gallons add up very quickly and so does the cost! This is the first time using tap water. I would just assume that all of the plants would be going haywire though. I guess thats not the case. I am keeping a very close eye on them. The new growth on my crazy plant seems to have improved ever so slightly so I will let this growth get a little bigger and take some more pics. Thanks for your time and help!

I suggest you at least read this and make up your own mind about broad mites..........
I checked out that info and they listed an email address if you wanted them to try and identify the problem. I just emailed them a link to this thread! I did snip a few leaves and examined them under a microscope but I didn't see any mites. Thanks for your info and help!!
