hey it's been a long time guys. haven't been on in a while anyway

this year i had 14 awsome silver pearl sativa excellent weed best i ever smoked and i had 20 of some sort of really heavy indica also 2nd best to the silverpearl i had ever smoke so i bred the male skunk with a female silver pearl trying to make a cash cropper because both had big heavy buds and both had more shiny crystal than i have ever seen before so i decided to call it FROSTBITE so im hoping that my new super plant turns out the way im hoping ill have to breed it 2 or 3 more times to stabalize my new strain but i just wan't to know what you guys think of my name for my new breed please tell me what you think of the name

i would post pics but im paranoid about the fuzz and outdoor seasons over so i have the new breed seeds growing right now there about a foot and a half tall and there my mothers so unfortunatly we both have to wait till fall to see what they look like

genetics dont work like that, dont expect to put two killer strains together and come out with an even better one, genetics are weird.

Breeders do put two killer strains together and "Hope" to come out with and even better one.

Actually they Select Individuals out of large populations of a certain lineage.

Sativa x Indica of very nice individuals can make a very good hybrid seed.


But its not going to be stable. That would take 20 plus generations of work and you are still not guaranteed to be the same as the F1's that is up to your skill and chance.

Yeah guys I just developed this strain is a corss btween a cross of a cross between my uncles "super sativa" thc 25%, a NL superhybrid (only clone attainable) and BnL Black Kush ( very rare iindica strain obtained from the remote mountains of nepal.) Its also genetically modified to give you an 8 hour high, thats a perfect blend between a body and mind stone, makes you feel euphoric yet pleasantly satisfied with your life.

The plant grows vigorously and thrives in nearly all conditions. The leaves are big, bigger than your hand, and the buds are covered in so many trichs that you cant see anything else except a tower of sparkley, violet colored trichs. There are so many trichs on the plant you can smoke the stem and get blasted to mars. You cna even smoke the pollen of the males and get high (too bad this strain is so well developed it only produces a 100% female ratio).
The smell is a mixture of fresh and fruity, with a hint of perfectly ripe strawberries... The taste, a hint of sweet bubble gum, subtle tastes of cherry gumdrops and lemon zest combined with that of sweet spicy cinnamon from the malabar coast of india.

Yeah I dont have pictures or anything. But Im telling you this shit exists.

hack breeding is generally frowned upon. i wouldn't advertise that. most selective breeding is the outcome of hundreds of plants grown, and only specific individuals with certain traits are selected to breed. then comes stabilization, which takes no less than 6 generations (usually more). f1's are great, but no breeder has a true strain until they make it ibl. until then they are merely crosses, with more variation the further you get from f1.

hello, when genes recombinate they tend to choose the "better" genes, which is what causes hybrid vigor. yes, sexual reproduction between a female and a staminate plant will create seeds which are generally more stable in the f1 generation, and starting to see variation in F2 and beyond. the first generation has more of a gene pool to choose from than the second and so on and so forth, which is why you will lose vigor after a WHILE. hope for the best, grow out your first crop, then start making decisions in the F2 generation, magic will begin to happen. make breeding goals with 1 or 2 goals in mind and REJECT all other plants. it is easier to focus on a few traits rather than creating a strain that is true-breeding for many traits. dont breed any negative traits into your population or you will just have to breed them out later.

replace "better" with "dominant" and you hit the spot ;). this is why selective breeding is important; many of the traits we look for are recessive by nature, and only come out in ibl's. these traits (ie, color) are lost to the new cross, and not seen again until back bred or inbred.
