What does "off feed" mean?

Probby a stupid question but what does off feed mean? With my nutes at week 4 (flowering) I am suppose to do an"off feed" watering with Epsom salt. Does this mean no nutes and just plain water with the epsom salt?
And if I do a feeding without nutes for a week and start back up next week will my plants be able to handle my nutes without I'll effect if I skip a feeding? Or should I just feed my nutes at 1/2 usual strength for this "off feed"?

I feed very watering with biobizz bio grow and bio bloom (all organic) and also AN big bud. And I water once a week, like every 5 days.

I've heard of some gardeners using Epsom Salt as an alternative for Magnesium Sulfate. Some gardeners swear by it, mostly because these same gardeners make their own fertilizer. Myself, I only use products from Advanced Nutrients. Off Feeding is an option, you don't have to do this.

Basically they want you to use epson salt to make sure that the mag is in the water. If there is no mag, then your roots won't take in nutes. I've heard of people having mag deficiency and when they use epson salt with water only they get nute burn. The reason is that the nutes stay in the soil and when the plant finally gets the mag to allow for nute uptake, the plant has an abundance of nutes sitting in the soil and starts taking in the abundance and burns.

I was asking because I read that with biobizz nutes it is automatically suggested you use Epsom on week 4. I'll see if I want to go ahead and do it. But if I do do you guys think I should still use nutes in the off feed with the salts? Maybe at a diminished strength? But I probably won't do the off Feed Epsom salt feed unless I see a mag defiency

I'd try with put for the first feed to see how it goes. If there is any sort of lockout due to no mag.. Then you might get burn.
