What does the color code mean in reputation?

I was wondering what the color code (blue, green, red) mean when you receive rep. Thanks

Green is a positive rep, red is a negative, and blue (grey?) will be your neutral - usually when a newbie with less than 100 posts give you rep.

Red is a negative -rep, Green is a positive +rep, I've never had a blue one but I did get a purple one from somebody and I don't know what it means.
