What does this mean? (pics)

There just about 2 weeks old, water every other day (I never let the soil get to moist) 4 cfl's about 2 inches above canopy and I have not introduced nutes yet. But 2 out of my 6 plants are getting a little yellow/light brown on the leaf tips, what does this mean, how can I help my babies!?

For some reason they looked stressed. What's the temp in the grow area? What's the Ph of your water? Do you have proper airlow? Just a few questions you need to figure out.

I keep the room at about 70* PH is around 5.0 and they window in the room gets opened everyother day for ventilation and I have a fan blow on them when I give this air.....will they die if they continue to look like this?

they need constant air flow, a fan 24/7, so they have fresh co2 at all times. also you should have filled those cups up all the way with soil, lose the tin foil as well it creates hot spots and will burn your plants. they will be alright tho. good luck

Raise those lights if you want to stop that tip browning. For seedlings, until they have 3-4 nodes of leaves, you should keep that light about 6 inches off of them. Smaller baby leaves brown at the tips when heat stressed, while older plants simply start making holes in their leaves. As for ventilation, I would also try to ad some time of intake so the plants can get that constant flow of C02, and echaust if the temp is going over 80.

Hey thanks man!

Will can the foil and give them more air, I was def not giving enough they need that much air....thanks for the help!

no problem. just remember when growing indoors, all your really trying to do is copy-cat what would be happening outdoors where plants are meant to grow. so just think outdoor plants have fresh air at all times, and a slight breeze to. so if you have them stuck in a box, then 2 inches down in a cup, they are not getting much air flow at all. Sorry to ramble on but I think ventilation is HUGE when growing indoors.

Ramble all you want, my brain is like a sponge on this website, seems like it has he ability or want to absorb more info on this site then it does in real life....lol.

room temperature should be approxmately 70-75F also, you said you never let the soil dry, so it could be over watering, other than that i'd also get a few more CFLs.

P.S im abit drunk, but i hope i answered your question.

lights are a bit close, lose the foil, more air ciculation, & do some more homework..search (growrooms)....

Increase the ph to about 6.5, everything i've on this site sais to have it right between 6.5 to 6.8. Also, do what they say, and get those lights a bit further away.

You sure thats not too high? Sounds a bit high to me, idk. I guess Ill just read up on it...

I am a noob so take my comments lightly. I would not of started in clay pots, I am probably making this all up but; Don't the untreated clay pots just remove all the moisture from the soil. The pots that are treated have to use some type of unnatural chemicals to prevent water from passing through. Sure no problem for larger established plants but seedlings worries me in these. What do I know ...

There is no way your absorbing everything on this site Robbie. It would take you 24 hours a day to absorb everything here.
When you post a thread, and have a problem, give us details so we don't have to pry. Give us the once over on your grow setup, and tell us what your using to do it. Lights, heat, venting, etc...
