What fabric are smart pots made from?

Is it just a general thickness of felt? Or is it some kind of blend of materials and if so would anyone happen to know what it is? I was hoping to order a roll to cut and use as a liner for a project for soil storage in totes with holes drilled in the side for air, but without the spillage of said soil from holes in an organic soil mix that is cooking or just being stored and protected from bugs and the like. I could just buy a 50 gallon pot and cut it up which may be the easier idea, but getting a roll of fabric seems like it would be cheaper than buying and cannibalizing a finished product. Thanks!

Mine are 2mm felt. I also have some 80 gallon felt pots for tomatoes and vegetables, I think it's 5mm and cost $30 if you are looking for something to cut up, maybe get a giant one. Also landscaping fabric comes in rolls.

I'm pretty sure they're all PET. I like them vs traditional pots, but I don't like the way they sort of pool water at the bottom, even when raised up off the saucer, so I think I'm going to try out those weird nipple pots next time...I just have a hard time looking at them, they sort of creep me out.

I don't know what they're made of but the original purpose was a fabric you could bury that'd prevent weeds in the garden.

Its an improvement over a buried layer of water proof plastic. That didn't allow drainage. Then one day. Someone decided to sew it into a pot.

Search, "weed barrier fabric" or "Weed control membrane".

Lmao they have a 1000 gallon in their selection of pots. Is that even possible? It says its 105"x24.

Now that you mention it a Bagster® bag would fit in a 10'-0" x 5'-0" tent.
