Not like end of world talk. The world isn't ending, but it is changing.

I think we have forgotten too much.

I would think self sustenance would be a core clan goal. It's one of mine.
It is. We are very much self-sustaining.
We hav hobby farmers and producers. We hav atheists and bible thumpers. There is no one and only road to heaven sir.
The post I answered was concerning nutes. I'll let u handle the micro herd ;)

That's all true and fine but for me (and I'm only speaking for myself) my road to heaven will not have been paved by a petrochemical company. That's important to me, but I don't expect that to mean anything to anyone else.

There are short term things and long term things. It's easy to rationalize why one has no time to look long term.

Anyway, I'm simply de-railing this thread, so I'll let it proceed as it was. :)

no please rrog continue, this is what i want. we all have our reasoning as to why we do what we do (well for the most part) Its cool to read all the different situations and solutions.

cory and trevor i think is on about the same train of thought as myself. i just wanna evolve and learn, and like i said, Spend less time. which is funny cause I'm sure all this different way of growing business is taking more time.

i agree with you rrog that in time i would love to have a self sustaining garden that produces the utmost quality IN ACCEPTABLE AMOUNTS. i just recently harvested some HGK that was TLO and it was the best stuff I've ever grown, by a long shot. only got just over 3 off the plant in a 5 gallon. now thats not bad just not acceptable. with tuning I'm sure my organics will get better tho, just at the moment i cant rely on small plants.

thnx for the info on top shooter nancy, i definitely was a bit nervous/skeptical on it until i did a lot of reading. i hit a couple plants last night not on the H&G system with it at half strength, have you found it works well outside the H&G system? Also, do you know what makes it work as compared to top booster? like whats the difference?

Freak Nation. C and T, may I recommend you look at Spurrs "GH 3-part recipe" before going Lucas. I know you can get results with Lucas, but that doesn't mean it's ideal.

I've been following the bottle with fine results. ppm is high I think at 1700 when I mix per their instruction. This res change just now I did the 3 part at half strength all seems fine. no burn not def just being.

wow 1700..... i don't even like giving 1000 at full bloom! i always seem to burn as soon as i hit 1000.

lots of things could be in play with that ppm being so high and no burn-the solution could be bunk after so long in the jug or some other such shit. I am surprised I haven't burnt the thing at that level, the PH is wonky on me too, again possibly due to old solution but WTF its an experiment with old liquid nutes on one plant. I had the thing up to 2K once last week just see if I could burn it. now I'm going to see if the 770 ppm cuts the mustard; 3 parts as directed but @ half strength landed me at 770. PH steady at 6.0...

Read up on Lucas and Spurrs both while I was away from the keyboard today. interesting stuff. Less is more usually but I'm kind of trying to get rid of these mammoth gallon jugs of liquid nutrients as I think they are getting old and probably way past prime to use. should have went dry when I went big a few years ago. Meh, its one plant-I got 35 more to play with and by months end 60 total to mess with. its easier, so far, then I remember but its been years. When I last did it I was doing high times hydro for pennies bubble jug in a milk container so maybe that's why :weed:
