What if daytime temps are lower than nighttime?



Also, i've read alot where people say u dont want to go no different than 10-15F with night/day temps. But what about outdoors? The change could be up to 30F difference.... How is outside able to do larger F change?

i dont think it would matter if daytime temps are lower. having large temp changes would probably put some stress on the plants causing slower growth

how are daytime temps lower than night?

indoors you have more control of the environment and to maximize yield and quality we try and stay within a lower difference even though they can handle a much higher temp swing.

yea thats what we know, But why Do outdoor plants swing 30F difference at times, atleast 20F min. And they do fine. But yet indoors u gotta Keep it 10-15f difference?


And what affect does it have if the daytime temps are 5F lower than nighttime temps? (daytime temps 70, nighttime temps 75)?

if you hade large temp swings indoors the plants would do fine aswell, you would just have slower growth

so people sacrifice more purple for less yield?

i have to agree that people are sacrificing max yield for more purple. Plants can handle major swings in temps. Most growers try to keep a consistant tempature to minimize the stress on the plant. I was actually just reading a thread the other day that all MJ plants are capiable of being purple. This is caused by a temp swing of 30 degress. I experimented with it a little bit and my leaves and buds started to become purple, but only did this for about 2 weeks. My tricomes were turning amber so I harvested. also the winter were having here has not been a consistant cold. one day it was 50 degrees outside all night. which normally January your lucky if night time temps are in the 20's. So my experiment wasn't consistent.
