What if I only have the CFL bulb?

I have a 60W CFL bulb but don't know what to do with it. I don't have a socket or a lamp for it. Is there something I can to make it light up without a lamp?

you could just solder wires to the base/socket bit or remove the base/socket bit and join wires to the wires that were joined to the base/socket bit.
you could make a socket for it using a bit of wood, some screws, some wire, a metal bottle cap or somethng similar, see what youve got lying around.
busted elec appliances(microwave, fridge) with lights in them should have a socket you can remove and hook up to a power cord.

Why not buy a new fixture they are very cheap. Making a fixture thats safe is not the easiest thing to do

$6 at a hardware store and it comes with a clamp, socket, and reflector.
