What if I want seeds and clones?

Technically it would be perpetual, just with some longer gaps in between full grows. :)

Clones from clones or a mother before I was ready for a full grow. Not looking at producing huge quantities. I have enough to last me for quite a while from my first grow.
only problem is each clone is as old as original mom ~~ over awhile every new clone will flower sooner and sooner ~~ have never had a mom go very long ~~ can be done maybe and clever ones here know more ~~ no way cloning very old clones; no nodes, only sun leaves and main branch and buds. Anyone else have same problem ~~ seeds would help for making a new mom and begin again over again.

Starting to think the colloidal silver method that others have mentioned may be the way to go. Grow 2 fem plants, spray one.

12-12 from seed or after 2 weeks of veg if I'm just wanting to make a quick seed run?
only way and save males for pollen in case your "friends" disappear ~~ I needed pollen real bad and effing medical weed doc here who should have had many friends disappeared when I asked for pollen ~~ go alone and do all yourself ~~ for seeds fem pollen is good and male pollen is okay (freeze) for ongoing forever grow.

Re-veg your plant take 2 clones mist one clone once rooted for 2 weeks flip to 12/12 continue to mist for another week once you are 3 weeks into flower of your male put the other small clone into flower. I have seen it done many times and it works wounders. Good luck Bro.

Sorry but I forgot to mention something.... If by what ever weird chance that you decide to have to keep/store your collected pollen, because you never know what might happen to your test plant. AND I HOPE NOTHING WILL HAPPEN... but there is always a sucky chance. Store the pollen in a tight sealing pill bottle (Bare Asprin bottles) are perfect. Then get your self a glass jar thats about 4 times the size of the storage pill bottle....fill from the bottom - up (about 1/3) with raw rice. Place pill container on top of rice and pour in more rice around the sides of pill bottle till the container is completely covered with rice right up to the glass jars lid. Close lid tightly and store in the FRIG. ------ NOT the freezer. A friend of mine does this method and says it will last for up to only 6 months.

Yes, that's correct. I would be taking clones before full flower, but would like to take clones from a for sure female and not play a guessing gender game with the clones.
Take clones from all your plants and label them so you know which "mother" each came from. When your plants flower, discard the clones that came from male "mothers"

Google for yourself if you can or cannot freeze pollen. You will still not know until you do it yourself. Free advice is plentiful. Wish there was more of it that didn't make me spend more money.

I take back what I last wrote..(not to freeze the pollen)...I was just going by what a guy I had known had always stored his golden powder. He always, for some reason, had problems of thawing it out after being frozen. But it sounded like Mr.WDIK was wanting to do this like right away once his baby flowered to make some seeds for him self, that's why I don't think it would be ideal to freeze since it wouldn't probably be more than a month or two before he used it.

But Mr.RIPE is correct " you will not know till you do it yourself " that's what makes all this fun.

But pollen can be stored in your freezer for 3-6 years until it's ready for your next breeding project. My apologies I should of been more clear.

I wouldn't fuck with Colloidal silver.... It's not..... well.. THere's not enough information about it to know what Colloidal silver does to people or the plants that they consume from being altered by Colloidal....

Obviously, direct smoking would be more dangerous than smoking a 10th generation clone of a colloidal silvered plant.

I personally have never stored pollen, I've heard though, that you can store it in a film container in the back of your fridge for up to 6 months, - 2 years.

IMHO, with a small setup you should clone your favorite plants and keep growing them but don't bother making seeds if you can get commercial ones. With limited space I don't waste my time growing any seeds that aren't made from an elite cut female and a carefully selected male. That's what you're getting when you buy good commercial seeds, my own seeds would be basically a random male + female. Breeding is all about selection and growers everywhere are selecting females by cloning and trading the best ones, the so called "elite cuts." You want one of those cuts but for whatever reason you're growing from seed so you at least want a seed made from one of them. Good males are found by taking the time and effort to pollinate multiple great females, grow out the seeds, and noting which ones tend to produce the best buds. Think about how many plants and how much time you would have to expend with your setup if you wanted to find a male that was better than average? There are some seeds out there that are actually "bred" over multiple generations and such but most are just elite cuts hit with one of the breeders studs. Those have a better chance of producing a keeper than one of those random seeds crossed with another random seed (your seeds!)
or is it? I mean if we believe these breeders have already put in a good genetic selection and breeding for us then why not take it to the next generation?

Just a guess here (kind of) but seems a lot of work has or should have already been done so if you did get a nice pheno that has some traits you desire then to either self her or breed her with a male can and has given many many people a better strain then the seeds that created it.

just my 2 cents..

Oh and op sounds like a good idea to me.

Oh, by the way.... My wife curses me everytime i need seeds... LOL!

Cause, i don't care, i let the full male go full blast, inside my tent... The amount of seed i get is incredible!!!

It also gives me a different smoke, so when i grow my next batch unseeded, its like reqarding myself.

Sorry, but stop with the whole notion that only commercial breeders can make decent seeds, thats utter Bullshit....

I have the proof of that in my pipe right now.

Especially with the billions of seeds out there... A few hundred seeds that a local grower produced for himself, will be far far superior to commercial, For his or her needs, as he or she bred them for HIS OR HER needs.
And on a big picture, these seeds will never become distributed on a wide commercial scale, unless there are traits that are wanted in those plants.

I am finding more and more of this nonsense on here that small timers are ruining things by breeding their own... Most of this bullshit is coming from commercial breeders who are trying to corner a new market, and they need to be stomped on, before Monsanto like controls are put into place.

There is plenty of information on colloidal silver. People drink the stuff.

FROM THE MAYO CLINIC: Colloidal silver isn't considered safe or effective for any of the health claims manufacturers make. Silver has no known purpose in the body. Nor is it an essential mineral, as some sellers of silver products claim.

Colloidal silver products are made of tiny silver particles suspended in a liquid — the same type of precious metal used in jewelry, dental fillings, silverware and other consumer goods. Colloidal silver products are usually marketed as dietary supplements that are taken by mouth. Colloidal silver products also come in forms to be injected or applied to the skin.

Manufacturers of colloidal silver products often claim that they are cure-alls, boosting your immune system, fighting bacteria and viruses, and treating cancer, HIV/AIDS, shingles, herpes, eye ailments and prostatitis. However, no sound scientific studies to evaluate these health claims have been published in reputable medical journals. In fact, the Food and Drug Administration has taken action against some manufacturers of colloidal silver products for making unproven health claims.

It's not clear how much colloidal silver may be harmful, but it can build up in your body's tissues over months or years. Most commonly, this results in argyria (ahr-JIR-e-uh), a blue-gray discoloration of your skin, eyes, internal organs, nails and gums. While argyria doesn't pose a serious health problem, it can be a cosmetic concern because it doesn't go away when you stop taking silver products.

Rarely, excessive doses of colloidal silver can cause possibly irreversible serious health problems, including kidney damage and neurological problems such as seizures. Colloidal silver products may also interact with medications, including penicillamine, quinolone, tetracycline and thyroxine medications.

Just so you know, i don't just pop shit off the top of my fucking head and make shit up.

I never said you make shit up. I never said the stuff was harmless to drink. I just stated there is plenty of info on it and that there are people that drink it. You're the one that said there was barely any info about colloidal, and then proceeded to make a long post with info about colloidal. Lol. But If you think you'll get ill from growing seeds that came from a colloidal altered plant, you're a bit too paranoid.

Yeap, if you want to dispute the doctor from the Mayo Clinic, you go right ahead, if you want to take Colloidal , you go right ahead....

If you want to imply or claim I make shit up, and feel that being contrarian to what I've stated is the proper way to act in this forum, you go right ahead.

The FDA also makes claims against Colloidal silver, the same FDA and the same MAYO Clinic that claims marijuana is effective in treating certain forms of cancer and other ailments.

Pesticides enter veggies & fruit that we eat, either foliage sprayed or absorbed by the root system. But I never heard of contamination spread to new plants grown from their seeds. I guess anything is possible. Not sure if I would want to take a chance after reading MAYO's report on Colloidal Silver. I mean why the hell would someone still want to drink the stuff if it's proven to be deadly when you could simple smoke some weed .

In every thread about producing colloidal silver, there is a warning to not smoke the bud treated with the silver.

Treat the the female plant with silver to produce female pollen. Pollinate female plant with female pollen to produce female seeds. Grow female plants from seeds. It would be very difficult to find even minuscule traces of colloidal silver in the plants that were grown from these female seeds.

Every breath of air you take has more harmful elements.
