First of all that soil looks horrible and overwatered., U have to provide more info like everything u have been doing since the beginning., Without any info i know for sure your ph its out of wack. Second i bet ur watering/feeding schedule is terrible., Soil we already know it's terrible.,. Info we need for an accurate diagnosis is: type of soil, ph, water/feeding schedule,rt/rh, lights etc. Get back with that and u will get better help. GLFirst time growing indoors. I got this awesome tent and a clone.so I figured it's simple. Black oil spots at the base. Nope I have no clue what I've done wrong. So take a look and let me know. Much appreciated.
Can damping off affect a plant of that size? that plant looks like a bigger version of the seedling I over watered and cause it to dampoff. https://www.planetnatural.com/pest-problem-solver/plant-disease/damping-off/

I'm sure it's a bunch of reasons. Soil, nutrients, lack of knowledge. I would be lying if I said I wasn't expecting to screw something up. Trial and error. I'm sure I'll become more effective at this with all the issues all of you have pointed out. These only allow me to expand my knowledge and learn to become a better grower. I'm only doing it for personal use. But like every grower I want strong stuff. Determining where to purchase seeds will be another issue.Ah the run-off catch pan....
If you always feed and let the run-off return to the pot, then you'll eventually hit lockout, if you keep it up it will lead to an overwatered plant.
Imo, At this point just start over and remove the pans or run drain tubes to the pans.
The nodes on that thing makes me think your using weak lights or too much phosphorus
Well we all start somewhere, its the willingness to learn that moves you along.I'm sure it's a bunch of reasons. Soil, nutrients, lack of knowledge. Still figuring that out. Any suggestions will be considered. I'm basically just trying to succeed. Next grow will be my attempt at main-lining.Only thing I've got, try to have an even canopy.
