what is a good simple strain to grow as a 1st timer?

Hey everyone. I have grown autos and I am wanting to try a photo type of plant. I was wanting to know, what would be a good strain for a 1st timer? Should I grow indica or sativa? I am seeking a easy, simple, short growing, ok yield with a good smoke. any suggestions would be great.

I hear Northern Lights is nearly impossible to kill. lol. As far as others IDK.

your best to go for an indica or a indica dominent hybrid, 7-9 weeks flower period and u should be good,

agreed wit tha cheese sativa's can kick your ass into tha stratosphere but may require longer flowering and a experianced touch at times. Good indicas will smile at you every morning if properly tended to. I would read up on whatever lighting system you wanna use and grab your genetics after your room/tent/is set-up and ready to slam! good luck tho you sound like your a caring parent already!

the easiest strain i have right now is strawberry blue from world of seeds. Its really easy and pretty impossible to fuck up. You dont need to tie any branches up and it isnt too stretchy like the casey jones i also have right now. I would say strawberry blue is a good beginner strain.

I've grown DinaFem Critical+ and White Siberian. Both were easy. My first grow was DWC and I probably didn't do it as well as I could have.

Next I grew G13 Pineapple Express and White Widow in 2 gal smart parts, soilless with coco/perlite just so I could use my hydro nutes without the hassle of bubbles.

All four strains forgave me considerably and still yielded 3-4 ounces each under a 400w.

they look wonderful oh and so dont the cute dog in the pic too! Now i have some candy to eye nextime we be shoppin for easy genetics thankyou.

I'll throw Critical+ in the ring, too although NLxBigBud is very good. I'm surprised no one suggested WW. Dutch Passion's WW may take 8-10 weeks, but it's a beautiful plant and should be renamed White Widow-Ass Grabber :)

As the others have said, indica dominant plant.
