Basically it’s growing in an air culture. A lot of people confuse this with hydroponics or Aero/hydro hybrids. True aeroponics are pricey to setup and touchy to maintain. You have High pressure and low pressure systems. Low pressure systems suspend the plants over a reservoir in a large dome spraying the roots. High Pressure systems usually have a 100+ psi pump with 5-50 micron misters that spray in a very fine mist. Most use a nebulizer to fog and achieve 100% humidity. People experiment making these and all kinds of hybrids at home all the time with great success. If that helps?
