what is better for a scrog grow. SATIVA OR INDICA?

Tex,
I was thinking the same thing about sativas. But I've never scrogged. What I would suggest is to grow the type of strain that you like to smoke. You may need more plants for one strain or another...but you should be able to make almost anything work. Good luck...

well you see thats just it. I dont smoke. I will grow maybe 2 plants just as a hobby. I will grow and when its done I will start another strain. I let friends and family smoke it.

If uniformity of height is your only criteria then autos would be easiest to scrog. They tend to be short with a single cola. I believe sativas tend to be taller and scrawnier than most indicas. For a scrog grow I would use a short bushy indica (Kushage or Critical Sensi Star) and FIM them after 3 weeks vegging. The FIMing will allow for 2-4 main colas and usually a shorter plant. That should be most conducive to a scrog. Here's a trick I use when I want to force plants together -- I use tomato cages and put them in place early. Like when the plant is still vegging. That will help you keep them growing in a defined space. Easier to control, eh? Good luck, BigSteve.

indica seems to be working quite fine for me on my growbox which is 2'X2'X4.8'. I have only 1 plant, so less maintenance under RDWC. Works like a charm. 1st time grow under SCROG.phamryder-720723-albums-aurora-indica-1st-grow-picture3004231-day-3-flower.jpg

G13 Pineapple Express. Stretches about 1/3, decent yields, great smell and taste, awesome bag appeal. I'm scrogging it right now and am in day 13 of flower. Third run of it.

Critical Mass, The Hog and most crosses of those do very well in a scrog in my experience.

I disagree, you can't top an auto without losing yield and you need to run the lights longer to have a decent yield.
