Hey everyone. I plan on growing 3 autoflowers. I will be using a T5 light in a small closet grow. So what would be a better grow for better yield? I was thinking of a soil grow with ocean forest soil or 100% perlite hempy bucket grow? any suggestions or advice?

Hemppppppy! Bar none ....seriously they're my life lol....but u can grow in perlite with out the "Hempy" in the bucket also...lol cuz when my plants get to big to move and water I usually just start watering ever other day with about 8 cups.....but with autos u prolly won't have to worry about that, huh? Lol.

so hempy would be the best way for autos? With hempys do you start feeding nutes from day 1 and what strength?

I wouldn't want to have to fiddle with them every other day?
Hydro should be, and is EASY.
Autoflowers LOVE hydro.
Bubble Bucket, or a flood table is SOOO easy and the plants love it.
Fill up your rez with nutrient solution, set the PH, Set your timer to flood once an hour, check ph every other day, change nutrient solution once every 10 days and harvest bumper crops.
Hempy is by far not the ultimate form of Hydro. Not the simplest either. Takes far more work than Hydro should.

Before I would grow Hempy with perlite I'd just personally go with Coco where I could make good use of bennies and teas. Coco is super forgiving also.

I know Hempy works great, but for yield I'd go with some bubble buckets, or a small flood table.

Just my .02

Peace.

Hempy is a lot of work...but it's worth it ...if ur plants are acting differently u can mix nutes at differ strengths for specific feedings...not just all the same for plants that may differ....and yes feed from day one in any dro set up

I didn't feed my Critical kush hempys for 3 weeks, and then at 20% was a little much....so all strains differ with feeding, start low gradually increase

No sure why ppl say hempy is alot of work.. i grow 4 plants in a 40 gallon hempy tub, its the easiest shit every to use. I pour in 5 gallons of water / feed, takes me about 3 mins then im good to go for 3-4 days. If i need to flush i just connect a 1/2 inch hose to my flush valve that leads from my tent to a storm drain in my garage, and again when i flush i just fill it up with water and walk away. The only thing easier then hempy is wiping your ass. It sure beats when i was growing in soil having to carry each plant upstairs to my bathroom tub to water/feed and or flush which would take a few hours vs 3 mins.

Yeah I dont understand that either, the Hempy buckets are very easy to maintain, and once you learn the "feel" of your bucket its a cinch. Plus it makes sure I check up on them and notice problems right away.

Hempy in small area and trying to get 30% runoff with 10 or 12 plants can get difficult....but now like I said I just feed em every other day 4-8 cups (depending how they drink) and its golden. ...I really only use the hole in the bucket anymore to check how damp bucket is and to flush

Not a bad thing at all...

Just put it this way a hempy bucket will always perform at least double or triple in the same size bucket as soil...

So a 2 gallon hempy could be compared to a 7 gallon soil...
