Someone else had a good idea for checking for bugs, put a leaf in a baggie for a day.
Easier to spot when dead, and look for eggs also.
Damage sure looks like mites, very localized at the bottom and spreading upward.

Either treat, or trash. There are a lot of options to treat them. Since they are all autos, you don't have to worry about losing genetics. I would scrap the veg plants, and treat the flowering g ones. After harvest, bleach the shit out of your area and start again.

This stuff works well. 17175051514771433343641309870029.jpg
It's only $10. Good luck

Fungus gnats caused my autos in FFOF to do the same thing. I swear I think gnat eggs should be listed as an ingredient to some batches of FoxFarm soil.

FFOF is ripe with organic material which leads to gnat attraction. I personally had to break out a mild dilute spray of peroxide ( spraying the top surface ). They are “ supposed “ to be seasonal - but take that with a grain of salt - especially if you are providing warm conditions during an indoor grow.

Update. I tried his spray method and it killed them down for that grow to finish. It worked. Pests are a pain. Its good to know multiple ways of combating them.

I had spider mites in flower on a photo grow. Not many products for flower stage. I hunted morning and evening for over a month, used several approved sprays dr zymes is all I recall at the moment. Removed leaves with bugs. I washed the buds after harvest. Hang dried 2 days, put in dry/cure machine, opened after a few days, and must have been over a hundred of them on the inside of the door. After vacuuming the carcasses out no more found. Assuming they vacate during the dry for lack of juice. Nasty critters. In hindsight I'd grade my efforts as a learning experience. Otherwise a waste of time imo. A lot more options in veg but in flower, never again.
