What is happening here Please look 5 week in veg.. PIC

I'm using GH flora,micro, bloom/ b52 and cal mag dwc 5gal buckets temp is 75, ph is about 5.7-6.0 ppm is 740. Indica very bushy, nice roots and stems. As you can see there's something going on .I change water and nutes on Wed.I have 8 ladies and two have this issue.For now just a few fan leaves.I'm thinking it's zinc or or cal but not sure. I'm using cal-mag so why wold it be cal . I thought my water temp was high so I added 1 frozen bottle of water to each bucket. question ..if the roots touched the frozen bottle would that have any effect?.Also they are drinking a lot. BUMP!

First thoughts that came to mind were:
-1st-Calcium deficiency/toxicity causing a lockout, no go.
-2nd-Low Relative Humidity (originally 20%, now 45%) causing leaves to transpire and curl to comp.
-3rd-Over Feeding, locking out the calcium
-Now-Thinking some environmental damage, leds being too intense? were 12 inches away, now 22, we'll see.

Any of these possibly your issue?

Gerardi's and I's setups are damn near Identical:
-App. 5 weeks old, 10th node
-dwc, 10 gallon (5 to a plant)
-Pro Grow 180
-72-77 degree flux, 20%-45% RH
-RO water, Bot. Cal/Mag, DynaGro
-Ppm sittin at 260 on a 0.7 factor(150 calmag, 110 gro), ph in check.

I have battled this for app. 3 weeks and i can tell you off the bat it is NOT zinc or res temp issues.

Yea , looks like we have the same issue.This issue came on after my last GH change. I'm thinking cal lock out, but why?
Also maybe the Led's were to close mine were 12 inches and my cfl's are right on top but most threads say you can put LED'S as close as you want with no issue..
If its Cal then some threads say use Dolomite lime ,one tea per quart and spray it on.
FYI..
I was told early on that my RH was to low 35-40 and with a fan on them they were drying and curling so I put a small humidifyer in and my RH is now 60-65 and they love it.

Ive read that either too much mag or too much N locks out cal. I forget which, something about the solubility of each individual nutrient and the form of that nutrient-



I tried one of those little water bottle humidifiers and the joke was on me for even thinking it could work. Waitin' for a good steal, but not sure the kids will last through, may figure somethin out with my fan till then.

Ive heard for most models of LEDs that canopy distance is no issue (blackstar, ufo's, PG's) only ones ive read or heard issues with were the Spectras, which I own two of and will be testing for the first time in a few weeks. So it should be interesting, since some ppl suggested up to 36" of head room! Serious 3w/3chip shit. I didnt suspect my PG (or your Blackstar for the matter) to "dry" the leaves like that, idk.

Ive just been truckin through this for a solid 3 weeks now and have ruled literally just about everything else out.

In the meantime.. Im gonna go surf craiglist for a good humidifier.

Do you have well water? Sometimes limestone aquifers can be loaded with calcium which locks out magnesium.

That actually looks like a magnesium deficiency.

I'm not good at hydro, but my first thought would be the heavy drinking coming from low RH you mentioned, but the rust looks like a bad case of P deficiency.
As to your question, I do think roots touching a frozen bottle (for an extended period of time) would shock her, but I don't see it causing this discoloration you have.

It looks like a P deficiency with this chart that imchucky sent .I'm going to change the res today and add a little more potash and see how she looks.The funny thing is it's only on 2 out of 8 plants and just a few leaves that have this issue and I feed them all the same. My girls(I hope girls) are 14 inches and very bushy.I really want to put them into flower lighting as I have limited space. My closet space I'm using is about 18 sq ft..2 ft x 9 for the grow but over all it's
To answer Rodrigues qusetion.I use tap water with vita grow to remove the chlorine and chloramine and have not had any issues there.I've also been using a ph chart not a meter so I may be off a little .
Scotch, I bought my humidifier at Lows for 20 bucks it holds about a gal of water and last about 8 hr's

Not trying to hijack but just for the record here can someone confirm what the ideal RH should be for veg and flower? Currently in veg and my grow room seems to hold around 60% is that too high?

I know I've seen it suggested a few times, but never really paid much attention, sorry.
I never really had to worry about it, growing outdoors here in Ga., it's always plenty humid.
However, I think it's between 35-50%.

I know there were parts of Portland, that were pretty slummy, I wouldn't go there unless I was carrying at least my regular, a backup, and the Mossberg under the seat, but there are parts everywhere like that.

By far the best answer you could have come up with. Hahaha. The cost of living is pretty in line if not a bit cheaper than out here. I just couldn't afford to move if I wanted to. I love where I am but I wouldn't mind a little more mild weather and a bit more grow friendly climate at all. Why'd u leave Oregon? If I left it would be by force and I'd be kicking and screaming the whole way lol

Concur with SS.

Best advise is get a meter,Mine went out and i had to use a test bottle to test=Useless with colered nutes.
Plant went into lockout took me 2 weeks to get her from death,too back and growing great when i finally got my
meter.My hydro store moved to Colorado.So i had to order one!!

I was, LOL
I moved up there, when my grandmother's health started to wane, (I had been going yearly, sometimes 3 times a year since I was a kid), and when she died in 2008, I moved out here to be closer to my kids in Alabama, and also because I had relatives here with heart problems, and along with mine, we could keep tabs on each other..
I lost my dad in 2009, grandmother in 2008, mother in 2007, grandfather in Oregon in 2006, and my uncle in California in 2005.
Aside from my mother and grandmother's funerals, I hadn't talked to my parents since about 1992, when my dad refused to see his only grandson when I brought him to visit one day, except for one night when I was drunk and pissed because my grandmother started crying and blubbering about something my dad had done, then I called him, and yelled at him that he had me scared of him as a kid when he used to punch me, and since he had made my grandmother cry, that was enough excuse for me to drive down and whip his ass.
Needless to say, when I got there 6 1/2 hours later, he wasn't home.
So, after my grandmother died, I figured I didn't really have any family left there, so that's when I came out here.

I second magnesium deficiency. Magnesium uptake and pH are pretty crucial in hydro. I would check the calibration of my pH testing tools first off. You may also want to let the pH drift on up too 6.2 or so before readjusting down. A nice .5 point swing helps to insure all nutrients can be easily absorbed by the roots/plant.
