What is happening to my plant??

This showed up today. I have no idea what it is or what could have caused it. I have been looking up pictures of plant deficiencies for hours and cant match it up to anything. Any ideas?

At this point about 3 times per week. I have a feeling it is because of under watering because the soil was very dry when I noticed the leaf turning brown. I thought it could also have something to do with a nutrient I added into the water a few days prior. I am using Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Grow (3-2-4) for a nutrient. This is another plant in my grow room showing what I think to be the same issue just in a different part of the leaf.

This is what my leaves are looking like, I was told by advanced nutrient tech I was starving them, this was after answering how much nutes per gallon I was putting in my resevoir (hydro) but i also have a few in soil that are doing the same, I water the min my pot feels light or its dry in the bottom of the pan, they are very thirsty lil things, so about twice a day and a cup of water or two at the bottom of the plant, I never water from the top unless they are super dry,..
so I found out that I wasnt putting enough nutes which he said will cause what looks like nute burn...it looks similar to my leaves...just a thought to see if it could be the a similar situation.

that is exactly why i wouldnt use advance nutes. that is not "starving" , maybe a slight ph or mag issue but the dark green immediately say not starving.
