What is LSTing?

I keep seeing it mentioned but in one post it sounded like tying plants together?

LST = low stress training. you tie down branches so they grow more hortizonal then vertical, mostly. But people also LST to shed more light on lower branch, and more.

best thing with a question like this is research... cuz after u get an answer, ur gonna have another question like where to do it or when to do it... its a topic that is all over this place and ull get answers quicker by lookin around urself as well as answers to questions u wouldnt even think about asking
