I never liked the Vapor Genie, the temperature is hard to keep steady, and it's too easy to accidentally burn the weed. Honestly the MFLB has always served me well, the screen got kind of dark and cruddy much like you mentioned but I just cleaned it. Have you tried that?

I picked up a bottle of 91% Isopropyl Alcohol and dipped the brush in it then really brushed over the screen a bunch of times, then gently rubbed it with a dry q-tip. Repeated and it cleaned up really nicely. Let it dry out and evaporate good after and bam just like new, only a slight stain to it and no nasty taste.

never used that one. if your burning your herb in the vape genie you might be torching the ceramic stone. ive never had a problem with burning the herbs inside in fact i seem to undercook with the vape genie lol. the only electronic vapes ive used have had filaments as the heating element which i do not like... maybe im using the wrong vapes who knows. but i do know i like the vape genie type of vapes because they are nearly indestructible and the only thing that really goes wrong with them is the ceramic stone can crack if you get it too hot but ive never had that problem. i used one several times a day for about 2 years before i moved away from my roommate sitch and as far as i know that thing is still rockin thick vape rips a year later :) its all about how you hit it... getting it preheated, packing your herb in just right so it vapes evenly, and knowing when to stop applying heat... i think its a great vape all in all, but its not one of those vapes youll want to bust out in public. what others would you recommend? the only electronic vape ive really enjoyed was the ioLite

hey i highly suggest you check one of these out it costs 40$ too and they work great.HAkko 455 it only uses 40w but gets to 1100degrees F. Its the similar to the heating element in a silver surfer vape in that its ceramic but you can use it with any piece works great with bongs and helps you taste the weed instead of butane (you really can tell the difference).
Also with the soldering iron you have to mod it by unscrewing a nut and then pulling off the metal then your done. the things pretty damn versatile it can be used to vape a bowl by holding it above the nug or you can just straight up burn it by touching it to the nug it instantly catches fire. My silver surfer hasnt let me down either yet and the thing ripss.

Quick cleaning tip: heat-up the alcohol in a saucepan before using to clean cannabis sludge. The materials dissolve almost magically when the alcohol is warm. Don't have to get it boiling hot, just the temperature of hot tap water -- couple of minutes in a pan over medium-hot burner is all you need.
