As long as the ph is in the correct range and it has been dechlorinated any water will do.:wall: Correct ph for soil is 6.2 to 6.8. I just adjust my tap water to 6.5 and declorinate it.

Distilled should not cause your plant to wilt. It is just pure water. You should ph any water you use.

I picked up a RO unit on e-Bay for under 70 bucks. It is only a 50 gallon per day, but hay, how much do you use?

How does one go about dechlorinating tap water? Right now I use tap water, my girls are doing fine, but I know it's kinda like russian roulette.

If it's chlorine let it set out overnite. It will evaporate. Chloramine is more dificult to deal with. They sell product for aquariums that will get rid of it. get them at pet smart.

the distilled water i was using was very acidic. i cant find any machines that produce r/o water where i live but i can buy a r/o unit is that just something you put on tap water jsut like a filter? if that desnt work out ill probably just use tap water and make sure its around 6-7 ph

actually urine is very good for the plant ive heard from many people im just not going to go that way. and rain water would be the best but its not going to rain where i am for a while, so ive come to the conclusion that any water with a ph of 6-7 will do just fine

If you can drink your tap water and not ask for a bottle of water. Your plants will be fine with the water. Best bet is just to let it sit for 12-24 hours if its coming from the tap(chlorine evaporates significantly faster than water).dont forget about losing some volume of water. You'll need to compensate for the ratio of water:nutes
