what is the best water to use...

I've done a lot of research but still cant figure out what is the best type of water to use. I heard rain water is the best if collected properly, like in a rain bin. Or is distilled the best? Would love some insight on this. thanks

Overthinking it. If you are going hydro use RO, so that you know what is in your water and ph appropriately. If in soil use tapwater and if a well buffered soil dont worry about ph unless it is real out of range.
For the absolute best product though i think you may need Acqua di cristallo tributo a modigliani. Also maybe some electrolytes.

Lmao I had to look that up. $60,000 per bottle. Definitely flush daily weeks 4-9 with that stuff.

What's your setup? I use coco/soil with tap water. Our water is crazy clean, though. I just half-fill a 22 gal brute and let it sit overnight. Chlorine evaporates (check your water readout for CHLORAMIDE). Tap is great, just know what is in it...test ppm/tds.

thanks guys... you really helped... not... wasn't looking for dumbass answers but some from real growers. This is my first grow and trying not to overthink it. I'm growing in coco loco so i know im not going to need any nutes for the first month but is tap water good enough? or should i be using something else like rain water or distilled? would like some real answers not troll ones... thanks in advance.

Easy Friend...it's just a little hazing.
Welcome to RIU.
Tap is just fine, as long as it doesn't have crazy numbers.

its actually chloramine and you need a special filter for that shit. I use a 32 gallon brute with 24 gallons of water- got it on wheels so i can fill from the sink. and i have a 20$ fish tank powerhead to keep the water stirring and a fish tank bubbler in it.

I use tap water usually, or sometimes i buy gallons of distilled water.

Water is water. As long as you Ph adjust it and the plant has proper nutes, its fine.

i use coco loco for my medium... no nutes right now... and not sure what the water is tested at but dont think its crazy bad...

We'll to be honest, you can't just start a thread saying you've done your research and then ask such a basic question when we don't even know your growing medium. We don't read minds, just bust balls.
