What is the Best Way to Store Seeds Long Term?

Keep them cool and dry.

Optimal storage would be refrigerated in a vapor-lock moisture proof container. Yeah, glass jars could work for that.

Plastic bags or tupperware are much better than nothing, but they will slowly allow moisture to penetrate, so they're not ideal.

get some little silica gel packets and double bag them in sealed ziplock type bags with the seeds, put them in the fridge, i can vouch that they will sprout 8 years later :)

I have seeds that literally have to be 30 years old or more. They've survived many moves, being in a storage unit all summer, all winter, many different containers from tupperware, to plastic bags, to tin boxes, to just being left on a tray for years on end. I still have almost 100% germination rate. I don't really see where there's a good or bad way to store them personally, as long as it's not actually in water.
