Get an indica dominant strain. Short, stalky plants are easier for beginners, especially if you are not using 600-1000W HID's. I would not touch any sativa strains unless you have the necessary light to minimize the stretch and internodal distances.
Eva Seeds TNT Kush is pretty low maintenence. Grows well with low nitrogen soil. Very hearty and not sensitive to nutes. It's a pure Indica, great plant for hash making. Kief tastes like candy. There are several strains that are beginner tolerate and I would consider N. Lights to be one of them. I know many people that start with N. Lights. I'm sure there are others that are good for beginners. Keep researching and you'll find something you like. I actually found GSC and Cherry Pie to be very strong and hearty plants. GL.
Super Skunk is the easiest, hardiest, dankest, most potent strain that a newb can grow IMO.
You can screw up in every possible way and still end up with good buds at the end.
Easiest thing to grow is autos. Put seedlings into solo cups for 2 weeks then transplant into 1 1/2 gallon pots to finish. Set the timer to 24/0 or 20/4 and sit back. Good luck, BigSteve.
